The darkness devoured the light in a place full of greens. A mighty kingdom from afar was filled with loneliness and tears like there's no hope anywhere to be found. The castle that touched the mists above, low as the tree tops suddenly became old and without pride. Suddenly, thorns and vines grew up abundantly on the way to the castle.
The visions I am seeing were very clear and true. I felt scared as I watched the thorny vines climb up to the rigid tower. That moment, I saw Alden Joe with a sword in his right hand. He wore an effulgent armour and a velvety cape on his back gliding as the wind blew against his skin. He wore his serious and mighty face, without any fear in his eyes.
He climbed up through the thick and huge vines. Roughly, he slashed the thorns out of his way. No one could stop him.
I'm starting to get scared for what he was trying to do. He was trying to get into the castle. He wanted to save someone. I anticipated it. I wanna know who would he be saving. My vision had watched him as he climbed up. Confusing it is to feel his pantings, his heartbeats, his difficulties, but I really do. I could smell his scent.
He, alone, is brave enough to face the wrath of this land. I've never have seen him doing this before. He had cut all the vines that became obstacles in front of him as he goes through the castle. At last, he made it inside. He had ran to the huge bed where someone had laid asleep for a very long time. She wore a pink rose satin dress with long sleeves. Her hair is dark brown and curly while a golden tiara was above her head. She laid asleep there without someone who could remind her of the time.
I widened my eyes in shock. I stared to the bed where Alden Joe had stopped. He claimed the unconscious woman's hand and kissed it. When I looked at her face, my whole body started to shiver.
Why am I seeing myself lying on the bed?

There was this tiny sound chiming in my ear as I opened my eyes. I turned to my right and saw Eddie played with his tiny pillow. Oh, that's what it is.
I smiled and patted the cat's head meekly and got into my feet. I put my glasses on. I was about to head to the comfort room but I cancelled the plan and headed downstairs.
"Oh! Thank goodness you're awake. We brought you some cookies!" Marrianne held up the paper bag she was holding and smiled at me. She was in the living room when I found her.
"Mom! I can't find my hat. Where'd you put it? Oh, Angelica!" A girl came and rushed to hug me.
I giggled. "Whoah! Auwie!"
Aurora held her little head up to look at me and smiled delightfully. "I've missed you! Why did you sleep so long?"
I patted her head and answered, "I've missed you too little fin."
"Oh! You wouldn't believe what I found, Angelica. I found a picture with us at the attic!" she exclaimed.
"Really?" I tried to sound a little cheerful but it doesn't escape my mind the reason why they are here.
Aurora is my half sister. Marrianne's child to Philip, her new husband who was her ex-boss. I call her Auwie. Her hair was naturally curly like a barbie doll and her porcelain skin reminds me of the "Sleeping Beauty" character named Princess Aurora.
Aurora is five years old. She's quite lively and active. She never fails to make me smile whenever I meet her when Marrianne visits me. Somehow, the idea of having a sister makes me happy. I could forget what Marrianne had done and just look at Aurora's innocent eyes.
After a moment, we ate lunch at the dining room and Auwie had so much things to tell us, about her school, her dance class, her classmates, her toys and places she wanted to go. That's a good one for making my day without an awkward silent between Marrianne and I.
"And I wish I could bring you with us, Angelica!" Auwie pouted her lips in disappointment as she hugged me unexpectedly.
I was surprised and glanced at Marrianne who just smiled weakly at me. "Bring me with you? To where? What's wrong?" I asked Auwie. I looked at Marrianne again and asked her silently and mouthed, "What's this all about?"
After some soothing ceremonies to Aurora and after the dishes, I followed Marrianne outside the house while the little girl was busy playing with her pen and paper.
"We're moving out, Angelica..." she revealed. It took me a moment before it had sink to me.
They're moving out, means they're migrating.
There was a deafening silence that came in a short while.
Finally, I breathed in and started to speak. "To where?" I asked casually.
She took a deep breath and looked at me. "Honey, we're moving to Canada. Aurora's dad decided to buy a house there and start a new life with us... for good," she continued. She held down her gaze at the floor and silence prevailed.
The fact of them moving to Canada is quite a good idea, I know. But still, I don't know what to tell her. How to say that I'm happy for them? But wait, how could I? Am I really happy? Did I long for them to go away?
I have so many questions inside my head waiting for an answer. But none of them can please anyone, including myself.
I suddenly nodded as a response to her question and smiled weakly. "If that is your decision, that's... that's good! So, when are you planning to go there?"
"Tomorrow," she answered waiting for me to react. I noticed thst her face is getting old like a week right now and I felt sorrow between her words, gestures so bland and observant.
I have remembered Marrianne somewhere in my memories where she was immortalized: young and beautiful, matured and lovable. She loved... always have loved me and Dad. And then, something happened. She just disappeared in my life with just a blink of an eye. It almost drive me crazy.
But now we have to accept all the facts the situations have given us. For me to forgive, I should let her go now.
As we have finished the seemed to be endless topic, I have helped Dad in the resto and told him about Marrianne. He, too have an awkward time sinking it inside of his head but he still managed. I know it is hard for him. I know he still loves her.
When the night came, I was on my way home and suddenly my phone rang.
"'Yan, what's up?" I asked on the line. It was Marrianne who called up.
"Honey, I was just wondering if we could spend time together at a beach or restaurant or something... tomorrow? How's that sound?" She asked timidly. "You know... before we leave, we could spend the day together for the last time..." she suggested.
I stopped on one of the pavements where I was three blocks away from the resto. The night had grew darker than it seems and the silhouette of the buildings were growing like an empire rising from the ground for the moon was hiding behind the thick clouds and the stars were, too.
"Yeah. Good idea, 'Yan," I replied after glancing above the dark skies. For once it had shivered me. I was too overwhelmed by the gradually growing darkness in the sky and forget about the conversation.
Suddenly, there came a roaring thunder like a bowling ball rolling over the shiny floor with the clear and loud sound. "Umm... I think I have to go. It'll rain soon. I'll keep in touch tomorrow, bye!" then I turned off my phone, swiftly dashing my way home before the rain could fall.
As I was half running in the silent streets of Saint Claire, suddenly there was pact of dogs surrounding me. They were three of them, snarling and growling at my presence and it almost took me a minute before I could remember to breathe.
Animal problems again. I cursed many times after saying it in my head. Sometimes I wonder how Eddie ended up to be a cat instead of a man? But that would be very unpleasant seeing a fury man.
A big time trouble, Clan.
I slowly descended my pace with big eyes carefully looking. My hands held up in front of the mad dogs. I started to tremble. "You know I should've brought a dog of my own," I muttered.
"Gabin!" a voice was calling, caused the three black sheperd dogs to look to the other side. There, showed a pretty lady with her red curly hair up to her neck. She wore a black dress with red polka dots not reaching her knees. Her black boots tapping the ground and her eyes carefully looking at the dogs. "What did I tell you about snarling to anyone?" she scolded them.
Then, I heard the animals whinning and bowing, ashamed of what they have done.
I almost laughed at the scene. Luckily, I refrained myself from chuckling. There's no time to laugh. I almost became a meal to a group of dogs!
"Come over!" she ordered them. In no time, the dogs hurriedly paced toward her direction. She looked at me apologetically with her cunning smile starting to crook in her lips. "Oh, I deeply apologize for the impolite greetings of my little cuties. I promise it won't happen again," she said, then flashed her pearly and elegant smile.
"Oh no, it's no biggie at all!" I answered back. "I'm Clan by the way." I lifted my hand for a shake. "I haven't seen you around here before. Are you new here?"
Instead of answering, she just stared at my hand like she was disgusted by the looks of it.
I just shrugged and put my hand down. "Okay. So, I'll see you around, Miss," then I hurriedly hit the road to the resto.
I'm starting to think that I might send mixed signals to the universe when I'm not going to do anything with my emotional problems and weird encounters everywhere.
That woman is weird though. Why is she staring at me like that?
~~~~~~~~~~
"That was close..." Eva whispered as she was watching me walking down the road. She sighed. Then, it was followed by the whimpering of the dogs, and finally the floating of the ashes around her. She's the one who wore the red polka dot dress. The one whom I just met.
She moved her gazed to her side and smiled at her dioleppard. "Very good, kitty. Little Fred's princess won't be followed anymore. Err... well, for the meantime," she hesitated and rolled her eyes heavenwards. "Hardheaded De Evos," she grunted, rolling her eyes again. She remembered the dark Daemons who almost attacked me. And if it weren't because of her, I would've been killed by now.
She can never imagine herself following a lowlife connector, and to think it's not even her business, because she had a connector of her own that she should have found right now. If it wasn't for her manipulative brother, she would never ever obey his orders. She had her own life, too!
She remembered the time she was finding her own connector, when suddenly Alfred appeared and began promoting his rants and promises to help her find the Dion connector of hers after helping him of making sure that I am in good hands. She obviously didn't have any choice for she is just the little Evangeline Voulner, who will just continue to obey her family, especially her brother.
But aside from that, Eva felt that she's near with her connector.
She started walking again. The Dioleppard silently followed her master and slowly changing her form in the shadows of the buildings, and completely become the beautiful lady like her master. She, too, with all other dioleppards survived the great meteorite landing, had reddish complexion like a sophisticated Mexican girl in Hollywood. Like Keason Wills.
Eva rolled her eyes again. "I hate that you're changing form. I hate admitting to you that you're more qualified of the word beautiful," she admitted to the other lady behind her.
The Dioleppard giggled behind her. "Master, how many times do I have to tell you that you are the reason of this? You are the source of that beauty!" she said as her jet-black hair swayed dramatically with her paces.
"You're patronizing me, Rita," Eva warned the cat woman.
Rita giggled again as they were jaywalking the unsounded road of the subdivision. Suddenly, the young Voulner felt a pain at the side of her neck.
She shouted in pain. It stings and feels like burning.
Rita hurriedly approached her with a worried face. "Master!" she cried.
She was wailing in pain and she couldn't think straight. She's feeling it now.
The pain. It is coming. She knew it right at this moment.
Her connector is near.
