The sound of the alarm has brought Clan back to her consciousness. No. It wasn't a ringing sound from her digital clock but from her phone. She instantly recognized the sound.
She immediately reached for her glasses and wore it. After that, she grabbed the phone. It appears that there's someone calling her number.
It's an unknown landline number.
To her curiosity, she finally answered. "Hello? Who is this, please?"
"Late afternoon. 4 PM," the voice greeted her with those instructions. She suddenly recognized the voice.
She arched her eyebrow. "Alfred?"
"Yes?"
She scoffed. "What a nice way to greet me. Wow!" she sarcastically said. "What's with the 4 PM thing?"
"The time for you to come to our date," he blandly answered.
"I already told you that I have to—"
