The Discovery

As they were talking, Ariel, wife of James, woke up to have some water. As she was walking to the kitchen, she stopped at the living room to see Ziphora with another dog. She quickly went and joggled James saying “James, there is another dog with Ziphora.”

“You might have seen a dream, Ariel.”

“No. Come, I will show you.” She said, dragging James from the bed to the living room.

“Look.” She said.

James said, “We will tell about this to Aunt Elizabeth tomorrow at breakfast.”

At breakfast, Ariel said, “The dog that’s staying here has a secret lover coming here every night.”

“Is he cute?” John asked who was a dog lover.

Amelia, who was his and James’ mother said “Shut up. We need to call a veterinary doctor to know whether she’s pregnant with a stray dog’s puppy.”

“Oh my god, what will I tell my friends if she is pregnant with a stray dog’s puppy? We need to get this thing an abortion.” Eve said. She was John’s wife.

“Don’t act like Ziph is a lady, Eve. What about we keep it if Ziphora is pregnant? A puppy is still a puppy, right?”

“Yes mommy. Can we please keep it?” Ruth asked Ariel and looked at James.

“No, we are not going to keep that ugly puppy.” James said in a stern voice. “Why are you silent Aunt Elizabeth?”

“We need to come up with a plan. Meet me at 9 pm in the evening at the dining table and you should sleep early, Ruth and Eric.” Eric was son of Eve and John.

“And don’t forget to turn off the lights. Those who do not listen to my plan will be kicked out of the house and will be fired from their job.” Elizabeth said and left without having her breakfast.

At night, all of them met in the dining room. Eve lit up a candle.

Elizabeth explained to Amelia, Ariel, Eve, James and John what to do .

“Should we do this? I mean shouldn’t we just close the broken wall and the gate.” John said. Elizabeth gave him a stern look and nodded.

At that time Stevenson came to meet Ziph. When they were about to greet each other, someone made some sound and turned the lights on. It was Ruth and Eric.

“What are you doing here? I told you to go to sleep.” Elizabeth said furiously.

“Please don’t do it.” Eric and Ruth said at the same time.

“I know what to do.” Elizabeth said before storming off. By this time Stevenson went out of the house.
