Approaching the door they were met by the butler’s familiar face. “Young Master… can I speak to you for a moment?” He asked in a still courteous manner, typically he wouldn’t be allowed to walk outside just like that but the excuse of sending off the guests was enough in that instance.
“Of course…” Maki slowed down in front of the entrance and stopped to turn to the man he was likely not going to be seeing as often anymore. Listening to him was the least he could do.
“I’m proud of you for standing up for yourself.” The butler said in a sincere voice, almost like a father that had seen his son win a game for the first time. There was nothing more but genuine fatherly affection behind that pair of old eyes and wrinkled face. It was somewhat endearing.
