Beginning Of The Journey

On my way back home, I saw my favorite cafe. Thinking to spend some of my time there before going to my home, I stopped my cab. I paid it and went inside. There were grass, plants and flowers all around the tables and chairs of the cafe. It is actually like a cafe in a garden, so it is named ‘The Garden Cafeteria’. It brings me closure to the nature; this is why I call it my favorite place. Whenever I have felt lonely this place has always made me cheered up. It has become an important part of my life. I have got a lot of memories here.
It was already 2:00 PM. I didn’t have my lunch yet, so thinking to have something I quickly grabbed on a chair. I was quiet hungry so wasting no time; I ordered grilled chicken sandwich and some boiled cheese corn along with a glass of orange juice.
I was busy glancing at the red and white roses near me when I heard a voice, “Hey darling, how are you?” It was the voice of Mrs. Holden, my aunt and the owner of the place.
“I am fine aunt. What about you?” I asked.
“Oh I am perfectly fine”. Her big brown eyes blinked at me. She was wearing a red gown with a black leather jacket and heels. My aunt is one of the sweetest people in the whole world. She loves me a lot.
“So, haven’t you ordered anything yet?” she asked.
Smiling instantly, I replied “I have already.” She captured a seat near me and we began chatting.
Some minutes later my food arrived. “Here it is; have it you might be hungry” she said.
Talking with my aunt, I took a bite of my sandwich. “So what are you doing nowadays?” she asked.
“I will be joining in Parker’s villa as a head helper from tomorrow”.
Giving a surprised look she asked, “Are you sure you will be doing it?”
“Yes, I will explain all this to you later.” I murmured and she nodded.
“I still remember how your father used to bring you and your little sister here and we used to have so much of fun together.” Remembering those moments, tears fell from my eyes. Sweeping of the tears, I filled my mouth with spoonful of cheese corn.
In no time, I finished my lunch. Taking the last sip of my orange juice I said, “Thank you so much aunt for your time, I shall leave now.”
“You want to leave now; you can spend some time roaming around. I have brought up some new puppies come have a glance at it” she exclaimed. I loved puppies so I couldn’t say no.
“OK, let me pay the bill first.” I stated.
Holding my hands she said, “You don’t need to. It’s like your own cafe.” But I insisted and went to the counter to pay. I was not in a mood to cook today so I even ordered pizza to be packed for my dinner.
I followed my aunt to see the puppies. A corner in the cafe was reserved for the puppies. Even the other customers were allowed to play with them. Seeing the cute puppies I quickly wrapped a black and white one in my arms. Being an animal lover it does not take me much time to be familiar with any puppy or even dog.
I was enjoying playing with the puppies when my aunt said, “Its already 4:30, I need to leave now to give your uncle his medicines.” There are maids to take care of uncle, but my aunt like to give him medicine herself.
“I wish I could give you company but I need to pack my things up for tomorrow. I also need to leave now. I will come later. Please give my regards to uncle” I said.
“Oh no problem dear, you take care of yourself. Bye” saying this she left.
Taking the bag with pizza from the counter, I leaded myself out of the place. I had some shopping left to be done before tomorrow so I went to a nearby shopping center walking. After buying some clothes I left for my home.
Returning to my home, it was already 6:00 PM. I had some shower after which I went to pack up my belongings. In a big black suitcase, I settled all my necessary things along with the clothes that I bought today and a photo frame that had my family photo. I was already very tired so having my dinner; I went to the bed and soon fell asleep.
The next morning I woke up early at 5:00 AM. After cleaning my rooms, I prepared some pancakes for the breakfast. I had enough time left for my job in Parker’s villa, so I decided to prepare some breakfast for the orphans.
Taking my black suitcase and two bags full of pancakes with me, I locked the door of my house. I would be going to the orphanage first. The orphanage was near to the Parker’s villa, so after visiting the orphanage I could go to my work by walking.
Taking a cab, I reached the orphanage. This orphanage was one of the biggest orphanages in the city. Letting myself in, I met the main nun of the orphanage. I had already called her before to inform that I was bringing breakfast for the children in the orphanage.
“Good morning sister!” I greeted.
“Good morning Miss Mary. How are you?”
“I am fine thank you. Where are the children?” I queried.
“They may be here at any moment”. In the same time I saw children running towards me shouting and giggling.
Suddenly, a girl wrapped her arms on my waist. Seeing her I could not stop my tears from rolling down through my cheeks. She had cute round fair complexion with curly blonde hair just like mine. Her beautiful blue eyes were glancing at me with love. Her soft pink lips were smiling. She was wearing a black jacket on top of white shirt and red skirt.
Bending my legs, I hugged her tight. I gave the pancakes to all the children and we had our breakfast together. After spending my morning with them I noticed the time. It was already 8:45 AM. I should be leaving now or I would be late. I said to the nun, “From now onward I will not be able to come frequently so please take care.” She smiled and nodded. I left the orphanage giving goodbye kisses to the children.
After a 10 minute walk, I reached the same big black metal gate surrounded with jasmine vines, the entrance of the Parker’s Villa. I knocked on the door and the same security guard popped his head out. But this time seeing me, he led me in without speaking a single word.
There I was, inside the territory of the Parker’s Villa again but this time with a new purpose and this was the beginning of my journey.
