"Ella. Wake up" I heard

"huh?" I asked

"It's your turn to drive" John said

"Oh okay" I replied "I need to use the bathroom first"

"I just got here cause I do too. Also Tommy said he was stopping" He replied

We both hopped out of the truck and I checked on Gypsy. He's doing good. Kate and I went to the ladies room while Tommy and John went to the men's room. And yes you are reading that right. John came. He said his boss approved him taking off. So he's coming to Texas with me. It's a 17 hour drive. I'm not a fan.

"So, have you drove at all?" I asked

"Nope. Tommy said he's gonna drive until he can't. What about you?" She asked

"I've been sleeping the whole time but i'm about to drive a little" I said

"Well if you need anything, I'm fully awake now. So you can tell John to call and put it on speaker" She said

"Yeah" I laughed

"I told you he would come" She smiled

"Shush" I repled

She laughed and we met the boys at the trucks.

"So, ready to drive some more. It's actually morning now" Tommy said

"I wish we still had the double trailer but no. A tree killed that" Kate said

"We could of taken one truck like before" I laughed

Everyone laughed and we got back in the separate trucks.

"You ready to drive" John asked

"Yeah. Are you going to go to sleep?" I asked

"Nah. I'm not tired" He said

I nodded and followed Tommy out of the rest stop and on to the high way.

"I can't wait to get there, sign in, then go right to bed" I said

"You still have 12 more hours El" John laughed

"Okay and?" I replied

He shook his head and I drove for about 4 hours before we stopped again. Then John took over and Kate decided to drive the next bit.

"So.. are you enjoying being stuck with me. Day one of seven" I laughed

"It's not bad so far. You slept the first few hours" He laughed

"Hey, I didn't go to sleep the night before. I was nervous. Still am" I said

"Why. You go every year" He said

"Okay. Still nervous" I replied

He shook his head while we kept driving. Man, I just want to be there.

"Okay, you can put your horses in their stalls. Call time tomorrow is 12 O'clock for a meeting, then there's scheduled times to train. Your circuit will train together" The man said

We said thank you and the boys put our horses in their stalls. Kate and I brought out tack in. Since we pretty much park and lock up the trailers until we leave. They have people go through and make sure no one is cheating. They also check the food since I had to bring a bag down to feed my boy. Each area has a stall, tack and food area, then a space to get ready. Once we set everything up, we headed to our hotel. It's about five minutes down the road from where we have to be. Checking in, I tiredly carried my bag to the elevator and down the hall to our rooms.

"Good night babes. I'll see you tomorrow" Kate said

"Love you" I said back

We hugged and I followed John into our room. He turned the light on and it's a single bed. But it's a queen. Wish it was a king.

"So, you okay with sharing?" he asked

"As long as you don't push me off" I replied

He laughed and shook his head. I used the bathroom and got changed and he was already laying in bed. I climbed in next to the boy and... he's shirtless. Okay then.. have I seen him shirtless? Just from far away. Hmm.

"Goodnight" He said

"Night" I replied

Pulling the covers up, I was out as soon as my head hit the pillow.

"So, whats the plan for today?" John asked

"Uhm, Kate and I have practice today at 1. Along with...Kasey" I said

"When do you two get done" He asked

"It's an hour of running. Then tomorrow I think we are 1 again and Wednesday is round 1" I said

"So many ones" He laughed

"Yeah. I don't want to get up though. We have like 4 hours" I said

"I know. I'm hungry though" He said

"I'll see if Kate's up and we can go down and get breakfast" I said

"Is it expensive?" John asked

"It's free bud" I replied

He nodded and I grabbed the phone off the night stand on my side. Shooting her a text, John got out of bed and went into the bathroom. He's still shirtless. You know. Bringing him was a good idea. I could stare all day. After I asked him to come, I went back to talking to him how I was starting too. He had texted me Monday morning and said his boss okayed him taking off. So here we are. I do enjoy talking to him, he's a completely different person from when I first met him.

"Whatcha looking at?" John laughed walking back to the bed

"Nothing" I said

"Mhmm. I'm gonna get dressed" He said

"I mean. You can stay like that. It's hot in Texas" I said

He shook his head and Kate replied to my message.

Kate: Meet up in 10?

I replied back okay and got my clothes out of my bag. Once John came back out of the bathroom, I went in and did my morning routine. Which is, use the toilet, brush my teeth and hair, with different brushes of course. Then get dressed and put on deodorant. Pulling on my boots, John grabbed the key and we met my friend out in the hall way.

"Are you ready for our nice hour of training" Kate laughed

"Three people, it's gonna suck" I laughed

All four of us headed down and I went right to the waffle maker. Well all got what we wanted then found a table to fit the four of us.

"So how did you guys sleep last night" Tommy asked

"Good" I said

"Yeah. That bed is actually kinda comfy" Tommy said

"They are every year, that's why I like this hotel" Kate said

"Now.. like I say every year. I'm not ready to be an aunt" I said

"Uhm aunt? b***h you're most likely going to be my first borns god mother" She said

"Awww. Still not ready" I laughed

"Well.. I'm also not ready to be an aunt" Kate said

"You already are" Tommy said

"Oh yea...well you know what I mean" Kate said

"I'm single" I said

She shrugged and I shook my head. I can't with her. Once we finished dinner we had about an hour to kill so we just went back to our rooms. I laid on the bed and scrolled through i********:. John did the same.

"I have a question" John said

"Yeah" I replied

"How long has Kate and Tommy been together" He asked

"Uhm.. about 5 or 6 years. It's been a while" I said

"Has she ever had like a pregnancy scare" He asked

"Yup. That's why I joke with them. I think they had a scare like twice." I said

"Damn. Have you ever had one?" He asked

"Ehhh. Kinda?" I said

"Really?" John said

"Yeah. When I was with Dalton, which shouldn't be surprising. But I wasn't pregnant and just had my period a week late. Which may have also been because I switched birth controls and just got all f****d up from that" I said

"You're on birth control?" He asked

"Sir. Cramps are terrible. Since we started talking they haven't been bad. But let me warn you now. I'm not fun to deal with. Just ask Kate" I said

"I will" He laughed

Shaking my head, we decided to just head over to the arena. And John decided to ask Kate how I am when mother nature comes around. She just laughed and told him good luck.

"Hey, at least you aren't dating her. That's a terrible time" Tommy said

"I'm not that bad" Kate said

"Mhmm..." He nodded

"I'm gonna beat your ass" Kate said

The two boys laughed and we sent them to go get our horses ready while we went to a meeting. They just went over what they do every year. Today and Tomorrow are practice. Then Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday is round one, two, and three. Once Saturday rolls around we'll find out who wins and have Sunday to drive back home. So we are going out on the town tonight and tomorrow. We are going out together tonight, then they are having their date night and John and I are going to do something. I don't know yet. Probably dinner.

"Here girls" Tommy said

Him and John brought our horses up and Kasey got bought her horse as well. I think that's her boyfriend. They went off and did, I don't know actually. The three of us headed into the arena and did some quick warm ups then took turns running the barrels. We got to run for an hour and a half then got kicked out. And the next group went.

"Did you girls have fun?" John asked

"It's always so weird. The three of us have come together a couple times." Kate said

"I'm glad they don't mix. Some people are.. ugh" I sighed

"Well, I think it's time to head back to the hotel so your smelly asses can get showered." Tommy laughed

"We are not smelly" I pouted

"Ehh" John replied

"I'm gonna smack you" I said pointing at him

"You really do reply fast" Kate laughed

Rolling my eyes, we untacked out horses and cooled them down. Then I made sure my boy had water and the barn hand here said he'll feed them at 4. We had to write down instructions for our horses when we filled out paperwork. We all came in Tommy's truck so we drove us back to the hotel.

"You getting a shower?" John asked

"Yeah. Are you going to get one?" I replied

"After you" He said

Nodding, I grabbed out a change of clothes and my shower stuff, then went into the bathroom. Getting all clean, I used the hair dryer provided by the hotel and ran a brush through. Ahh, nice and mostly dry.

"Okay. Your turn" I said walking out

"Finally, jeez why do girls take forever" John laughed

I smacked his shoulder as he walked by and plopped myself on the bed. I decided to play around on my phone and scroll through i********:. The I heard the bathroom door open and John came out in a towel.

"So uh... That's a nice look" I said

"Is it now" He laughed

"Yup" I nodded

John grabbed boxers? I think it's regular boxers. He went back into the bathroom and came back out a couple seconds later. It's boxer briefs. Ohh.

"Are you going out like that?" I laughed

"No. I just don't know what to wear" He laughed

"Jeans and a shirt.. That's what i'm wearing" I said

He nodded and pulled on a pair of jeans, then he put on socks and sat next to me on the bed.

"I can stay like this till we leave" He said

"Yup" I said

"Are you drooling over there?" He said

"I mean, maybe" I said

"Got a question for ya" He laughed

"Yeah?" I asked

"Out of every guy you've seen shirtless.. Who's the best looking?" John asked

"That's a good question" I chuckled

"So.." He asked

"I don't know. Why do you want to know" I asked

"Because I want to know where I fall" He shrugged

"I'm not telling you" I said

"Why am I the best?" He asked

"Maybe. I'm judgy" I said

"Well how many guys have you seen shirtless" He laughed

"A lot. But the ones i've dated and been friends with, eh. We live in the north so guys are pale sometimes. And the non rodeo guys.. they were eh." I said

"Well what about Dalton" John asked

"I mean in the summer when he got a tan he looked amazing. But he was also really tall so he had that lanky look to him" I said

"Wow you are judgy" John said

"I told you.. but hey, you look good and I wouldn't mind this view" I said

He laughed and we watched tv for a little bit. Then it was time to head out. John pulled a shirt on and Tommy was driving tonight. Since John's never been down here he doesn't know his way around. Going to the middle of town, we decided to just stroll down the main strip. It's really nice.

"This place is really nice" John said

"Right. I love coming down" I smiled

He smiled back and we all walked around.

"Oh lets go in here" Kate said

It's a western clothing store. Like old western. Walking in she walked over to the dresses and started looking through them.

"Oh El, come try these on with me" She said

I looked at the boys then sighed and followed her to the dressing room. We both tried on some of the dresses and I actually liked one of them. It's a knee length long sleeve dress. This will look good with my boots. It also has a belt that does around my waist. Sometimes i hate her for finding really cute dressy outfits. I never dress up.

"You can wear this tomorrow when you go out with John" Kate said

"I don't even know what we're doing" I said

"I do. So dress" Kate said

I groaned and we both bought our dresses.

"Which ones did you girls get?" Tommy asked

"You'll find out tomorrow" Kate smiled

And off we go. We found a food truck to get food and took some pictures as we showed John the town. He seems to be enjoying himself. I guess it's a good thing I brought him.
