This place wasn’t exactly in my line of work, but it was certainly old. The area was back in a cane field, surrounded by flowering bushes and over-sized trees. There were chickens running around, and we saw some feral cats, as well. But we got thirsty after a while and decided we’d move on. We took a quick look at the old church, climbed over a narrow foot bridge and then over piles of red dirt and darted inside the shell of the church, surprised by how clean it was inside. “I think it’s being restored by some group or other,” Steven said. “Let’s drive by the old cemetery and then hit the coffee shop.
