Chapter 4 : The Reward

Inside the throne room, full to its capacity. Members of the queen’s guard, the queen’s advisers, warriors and some of the most respected and rich subjects, and Jabari kneeling in front of the queen with his head facing down.

The queen's words hung in the air, and Jabari felt a surge of honor and gratification.

The queen smiled as she was staring at her blue diamond necklace her eyes shining with admiration. Then she turned to Jabari, "You have done well," she said. "Words are not enough to reward such a brave act, you have proven yourself to be useful, hence deserving a place in my kingdom as a decorated warrior.

As a reward, I, Queen Ayanna, second of her name, queen of the Zuri Kingdom and protector of the realm, hereby officially grant you a place at my side, as one of my trusted advisors."

Jabari’s eyes widened in surprise. He had not expected such a reward, but he was thrilled at the prospect of serving the queen in such a capacity.

"Thank you, Your Majesty," he said, bowing his head in gratitude. "I am honored to serve you in any way that I can, and I swear on my life to obey your commands and give my life for yours if need be, my Queen."

She nodded, her smile growing wider. "Now rise, I know that you will serve me well," she said. "You have already proven yourself to be resourceful. I have no doubt that you will continue to serve me with loyalty and dedication."

As the queen spoke, the courtiers and advisors gathered around, congratulating the Lord Jabari on his new role. They welcomed him warmly, and he felt a sense of belonging and camaraderie with his new colleagues.

One of the queen's advisors, a wise old man, Lord Thorold, stepped forward. "Let us celebrate the Lord Jabari’s new role with a feast," he said. "Tonight, we shall gather in the great hall, and we shall feast and make merry!"

The courtiers and advisors cheered, and Jabari smiled, with excitement and anticipation. He knew that he would have to work hard to prove himself in his new role, but he was ready for the challenge.

As the night wore on, the queen stood up, her eyes shining with a warm smile. "Let us raise our glasses to Lord Jabari," she said. "May he serve me well, and may he prove himself to be a worthy advisor."

The courtiers and advisors cheered, and Jabari smiled, with gratitude and appreciation. He knew that he had a long road ahead of him.

As the feast came to a close, he made his way back to his new chambers, exhausted and satisfied. He knew that he had a lot to learn, but he was eager to get started.

As he lay in bed, he thought about the queen's words, and the challenges that lay ahead. He knew that he would have to work hard to prove himself.

And with that, he’s new role began, filled with challenges and opportunities. He was ready to face whatever lay ahead, knowing that he had the queen's trust and support.
