When night fell, and I lay in bed, Mason joined me.
I looked at him confused. “What are you doing in here, you should be with Ruby.”
“Your dad told me to stay with you tonight, said something about needing to give you more attention and not just Ruby.” He rolled his eyes and climbed in beside me.
My heart already hurt, so I figured I had nothing to lose if I kept trying with him.
I turned onto my side to face him and grinning asked, “I’m allowed to kiss you, right?”
