Queen Raina and Her Mate

Chapter 3

Raina’s pov

As I am getting settled into my new room I think about the events of today. I am not sure why the Moon goddess does the things she does. I know she pairs mates together to help each other in many ways. But why did have pair me with Luke of all people?

After I finish setting in I decide I was in need of a long hot bath. So I go into the bathroom and run a bath so that I can soak and try to relax. All I can think about is Luke as I am trying to relax. This must be how the mate pull works it must make you want to be near your mate all the time.

I don’t know much about Luke all I know is what pack members say about him. He seems like a nice guy but I guess I need to try and see for myself. After I feel as if I’ve soaked long enough I bathe and get out of the tub. I walk to my dresser and pul on a pair of sweatpants and a sweatshirt for the night.

As I am about to turn on the tv and lay down for the night a knock is heard from my door. I opened my door to see Luke standing there. “I came to see if you needed anything?” He says as he looks at me. “I’m fine I was just about to watch a movie and relax.” I say. He looks as if he wants to say something else to me but I can’t be sure. “Do you want to join me?” I ask him. He looks at me as if he didn’t hear me correctly. “Are you sure?” He says calmly. “ yes I’d love to have some company and we are going to have to spend some time together sooner or later. We are mates after all.” I say as if he doesn’t know. “I’d love to watch a movie with you. And I want to get to know more about you.” He says as he walks in and shuts the door. We both sit on the bed as I flip through Netflix trying to find a good movie. I eventually decided on The Kissing Booth and we watch it in comfortable silence. After the movie he bids me a goodbye and leaves to go next door to his room.

Luke’s pov

After we watched the movie together I decided to go to my room. Once in my room I take my shower and dress in some basketball shorts. I lay on my bed with Raina on my mind. I think of her powers and when they will start to come forward.

I know that my mate is meant to be a strong she wolf and she will be an amazing mate and Luna to my pack. I hope that she will eventually learn to trust me and let me into her life deeper then anyone else that she knows.

Rain told me that she has always wanted to leave this pack. I know that she must feel trapped right now but I don’t want her to feel like that. I will try my best every day to let her know that she is free to do what she wants as long as she stays safe.
