I was tired, this was what I've always wanted, Yet, now it has come to me on a platter of gold, I seem to be lost and doubting it.
I can do it, I exhaled. No better person would be a great Alpha other than me.
Alpha Diane was nothing more than a whim and a pushover, but I didn't intend to be that, not when I had Sylvia next to me. She was smart and attentive to every little detail unlike Alpha Diane who was easy to trust anyone and that was the beginning of her downfall.
I paced around in my study. I don't know why the council of elders had decided to come this morning when I was already running late for my meeting.
We did not need to meet until the weekend, but they insisted on a Monday morning, which was one of the busiest days I've ever had at work.
