Levi's POV
My heart raced as I wondered what she was going to tell me. Would she say that I hadn't earned her trust? I was scared of what I might find out. The pounding beat of my heart was so loud that I feared she might hear it.
What I wanted most was to gain her favor. I had her interests at heart and understood everything she had been going through. It isn't easy to wake up one morning and find out that you've been betrayed by the ones you trusted, losing everything in the process.
Anyone would go ballistic and crave nothing more than revenge, and that was exactly what she wanted. She had every right to it. I believe the moon goddess made our paths cross because she didn't want me to die. She wanted me to save her from going down that road and losing everything she had worke
