“I am here, Mother,” I said, announcing my arrival at the queen’s quarters. The door opened, and I was ushered inside.
“My darling daughter,” she beamed at me, tapping on her bed for me to join her. “How was your night? Trust you slept like a baby?” She was full of life and smiles, just like every other day I’ve visited.
It had been weeks since I rejected Ace’s touch. I have been coming to his mother’s quarters for lessons on how to be a responsible queen.
She invited a royal teacher, Miss Eve Wilson, to teach me the basic things I needed to know.
