“Your new boyfriend is such a sweetheart,” the staff member commented with a smile while she was washing my hair.
I smiled back with doubt and could not look her in the eyes because I might just go and ride along with that thought of hers.
“H-He is not my boyfriend,” I said.
The look in the staff member’s eyes told me that she did not believe the words I just said. I was not joking though. After washing my hair, she led me back to my seat and started drying my hair. Even after some time, Jonathan was still not back so I could only grip at my clothes. For some reason, it felt like something bad was bound to happen. Whatever it was, I had no idea and I did not want to even know about it.
“Miss Lionheart…” the staff member said as we gazed at each other with a stunned look. “You look…”
