I blinked several times, wondering if I truly heard Chantel right. I did not want to react so violently because I misheard her or something so I stared at her with confusion.
“W-What?” I asked, hoping she would repeat whatever she had spoken of.
“Calypso, if you let Jonathan go and take Nikolai back, everything will go back to the way it was. You would be happy with Nikolai just as you desperately wanted–”
I cut her off by forcing her to let go of me. This woman… She totally lost it. She wasn’t thinking right at all.
“I do not know what to say to you… I… I am just flabbergasted, but either way, I will pretend that I did not hear anything,” I said before turning on my heels to leave.
However, Chantel still ran after me and even blocked the hallway while looking at me with desperate eye
