Mi Cielo looked at me with the same confused expression as mine. Still shocked, I had no idea what exactly to say. “Did he say anything?” my husband asked. “He wanted to meet you, that’s all,” Cresia replied. I shifted my attention back to Mi Cielo and held his hand. “You should go. Ethan and I will be just here so go,” I said, assuring him that it was okay for him to leave. Besides, my father could probably be willing to confess everything and when that happens, it would be one case off of Mi Cielo’s shoulders. Once he returns, then we could talk about our future plans. “Then, stay here in my office. You will be safe here,” he said before kissing me on the lips. “I will be back before you know it.” A part of me wanted to tell him to just stay, but that would be too selfish of me. H
