Chapter four

★Later in the evening★ LOPEZ MANSION

Adelina sat on her bed, eating from a dish served by the maids.

She didn't go down to eat dinner.

Her look was pale, and her middle still hurt badly. She kept biting her lips, disappointed in herself as she recalled every single thing that happened last night - not about her, but about Alexandro and Elena.

She just couldn't get the image out of her head.

A knock sounded on her door,

“Entra!” (Come in!). she said.

To her anger, Elena catwalked in, with an annoying smile on her lips.

Adelina eyed her and continued eating, not ready to talk about what she saw last night.

She had already sent a text to Alex, breaking up with him. All she needed now was peace of mind, not drama.

“Oh, poor thing” Elena smirked. “Your boyfriend left you for someone else. How embarrassing, I knew this would happen eventually, since all you do is lock yourself in your art work and deprive your boyfriend of what he needs”

Adelina scoffed, boiling in anger, as Elena continued. “You told me not to get played, but look who got played. You should have known better”

Adelina kept quiet, her grip on the fork tightening.

Elena continued, “I know you saw us f*****g each other right on that bed, but what can you do? Run away like a lost puppy that you are? How disappointing” She clicked her tongue.

Adelina stood up, exhaling. They both glared at each other, walking towards each other.

They stopped a few spaces away, and Elena crossed her arms under her chest, smirking.

“What, are you angry at me now?” Elena asked. “You should do your worst”

Adelina sighed, “Yes, I'm angry, but at myself. I was so dumb not to realize my boyfriend was cheating on me, The red-haired? serving Alexandro water... I should have known then, but I was so blinded, And I'm thankful for making me realize that now” She said glaring at Elena.

Elena scoffed, surprised. “You're not angry at me? You're not heartbroken that you got dumped like a trashcan?” She smirked.

Adelina chuckled. “I'm not heartbroken because the relationship wasn't real for me, And I'm just disappointed in myself for not figuring it out before now, But you should beware, though. What happens next will be more disappointing and disgraceful”

Elena's eyes narrowed, but Adelina just smiled and held her shoulder. “Dear sister?” she said, slowly driving Elena out of her room. She locked the door back and exhaled deeply.

★THE PEREZ MANSION★ NEXT DAY.

Luis playing videogame with his friends online in his room.

His earpiece was connected to his ears as they discussed and teased each other.

One might think they're still a highschool teenagers but they're not.

The youngest among them is yoshi who's nineteen. Xoan is twenty two years, Same age as Luis.

However.....

“Luis, what about the girl you said you had fun with last night huh? Is she hot? How big is her boobs man?” Yoshi finally asked.

Luis chuckled darkly, completing the sentence. “My sister-in-law” he stated.

They all laughed.

“Dude, you're sick!” Xoan exclaimed.

Luis just smirked, his hands working on the remote control.

Xoan continued, “What's wrong with you, man? Why would you have s*x with your sister-in-law?”

“I didn't know at first, and besides, she threw herself at me, Why would I decline such a tender favor?” Luis replied.

“Honestly, I didn't think she's a b***h” Luis added. “She has an innocent face with those beautiful hazel eyes... but then, I hate cheap girls”

They all laughed again.

Yoshi replied, “Dude, maybe she had eyes on you all this while.”

“Nah..i don't think so, She seemed drunk when I almost hit her with my car... but I don't understand why she would blindly kiss a stranger and even go as far as having s*x”

“She was damn virgin” He added.

They all exclaimed, “What?”

Luis hummed.

Xoan replied, “That's extreme, dude. She was a virgin? And you went ahead and f****d her?”

Luis smirked, “Weirdly, I just want to f**k her again... this time, I want her to be conscious as I f**k her hard, make her lose her breath and scream my name”

They all laughed again.

Yoshi asked, “Well you are going to see her again, yeah? Since you'd be visiting from time to time before your wedding with elle”

“I don't know yet...you guys know visiting isn't my forte, I'll just have someone check all her details for me”

“Maybe she's the one who's going to get you in trouble” Xoan joked.

Luis chuckled, “Maybe... but I'm willing to take that risk, she's damn irresistible” he bit his lips seductively.

♥Later in the evening, Isabel was scrolling through her phone when a text popped up on her screen. She smiled, reading the message from Xoan.

:Hey, beautiful. Want to grab dinner tonight?

Isabel giggled, knowing she had to keep her conversation with Xoan a secret from her brothers, especially Luis.

The truth is she has been crushing on Xoan for a very long period of time but he only sees her as his friend's sister, not as a woman.

Maybe because they all grew up together, Luis and Xoan, they're more like brothers, their parents are more than business partners, they've been friends since they gave birth to them.

A reason she can't bring herself to tell him about her crush on him.

:Busy tonight, maybe next time."

She texted back. Even knowing he's a playboy like her brother, she couldn't still control her feelings.

Is it easy to keep a crush on someone for ten years? Hell no

Just then, Javier descended the stairs, his eyes fixed on his phone as he walked to the dining room for dinner. He glanced at Isabel, still smiling at her phone, and called out, “Hey, aren't you eating dinner?”

Isabel quickly stood up, still smiling, and went to take her seat.

“Have you seen Luis?” Javier asked her.

“He went out just a while ago” Isabel replied.

Javier sighed as the maids served them their dishes.

“Tonight's special is roasted chicken with mashed potatoes and steamed vegetables young master” one of the maids explained.

Isabel smiled, taking a bite of her chicken. Javier watched her, noticing that she seemed happier than usual.

“Everything okay, Isabel? You look weirdly happy this evening” Javier asked.

Isabel nodded, still smiling. “Yeah, everything's fine brother”

Javier nodded, going back to his meal.

♣ ARTISTIC HAVEN♣

Adelina busy with her craft, creating a beautiful painting with her partner, Ares, a guy with glasses.

They worked together, whispering the next step to take on the craft, carefully as Adelina did the last step, finishing it. They both laughed,

“You're a genius, Adelina! This painting is going to be a masterpiece!” Ares remarked.

Adelina smiled, feeling proud of her work. Then, they heard the bell ring, signaling a customer's arrival.

Adelina smiled “I'll attend to the customer” she said.

She went to the front and her eyes widened when she met Luis standing there, dressed handsomely in a white shirt, black pants, and a black jacket.

His hair rough and spun at the side of his face.

Adelina gulped, “W-what are you doing here?” She stuttered.

Luis just smirked at her, his eyes gleaming with amusement.

Adelina's eyes met his hands holding her purse, and she quickly snatched it away from him.

She made to walk back inside, but he grabbed her by her hand, turning her to him.

“Let go of me” She glared at him, He scoffed and let go.

“What do you want?” Adelina asked, trying to keep her cool.

Luis replied, “I just came to give you your purse. You left it with me”

Adelina looked away, embarrassed as she recalled their night together.

Luis then smirked, “Are you busy?”.

“Why?” Adelina asked, wary.

“I just want to take you out to dinner” Luis replied.

Adelina scoffed. “How did you know where I work?” She asked.

Luis chuckled, “I have my ways amor”

“I'm sure you know who I am” Adelina said with a serious tone.

“My sister-in-law” Luis replied nonchalantly.

Adelina shook her head in disbelief, “You're crazy” She muttered.

Luis smirked, “What's the point now? I'm just here to take you to dinner since you ran off after having s*x with me the other day”

“You took advantage of me” She glared at him.

Luis chuckled, raising his brow at her. “Really? But it's the other way around amor. You pushed yourself on me, What was I supposed to do when you... slutty... pushed yourself cheaply on me? I couldn't resist your beautiful offer, and now I think I might be wanting more”

Adelina stared at him in disgust and made to walk back in.

He grabbed her arm again, but this time, a loud sound sounded, and his cheek got red instantly. She had just slapped him.

His hair spun roughly on his face, and he smirked darkly at her, while she glared at him.

“Stay the f**k away from me” Adelina said, her voice firm. “Don't ever come near me again”

Luis's smirk grew wider.
