Chapter 7

I woke up holding my mate close to my chest, it was the best feeling. To think 3 months ago I was alone and longing for her, never think I would find her and now she's carrying my first child. My parents would have loved her.

I got out of bed walking over to the desk, starting my work for the day. Firstly there is the problem with the werewolf raids. They needed to be pushed back out of the Dark Faye lands before anything drastic happens, especially now since Victor found his mate. It's only a matter of time before Evan and Rowan find theirs and nothing can happen to them.

I write out a detailed email informing my lords they need to come for a meeting in 5 months time so we are able to rid our realm of these creatures. I turned my head looking for Esme until I heard the bath water running. She is so quite. My phone ringing snaps my attention back into focus.

"Hello?" I said

"Alastair. I think I have found her!" I heard Rowen say on the other line in a frantic voice.

"What is wrong Rowen?" I asked him.

"She's human… and she is only 18 years old. I don’t want her to hate me when I rip her away from everything she knows. Help me please." he begged.

"What do you know of her? Victor's mate Arabella is only 18, she maybe able to help your mate." I explained.

"I don’t know much. Other than her name is Lilith and she lives in Manhattan." he said roughly.

"Give me sometime and I will find more out, in the mean time contact Victor he and Arabella can help you with what's to come. They had a rough start as well." I said.

"Thank you Alastair, Is Esme okay?" he asked hesitantly "I keep having a block from seeing her future."

I took a deep breath. "She's with child." I said finally.

"It will be a all hands on deck type of situation than. Have you told Victor or Evan? Evan might have already felt it." he said.

"No only you know so far. But you might be right about Evan knowing and yes I will need all of you if she is to make it through birth alive. I will not lose my mate." I growled.

"We won't let that happen." he said.

"Let my know what happens with Lilith and if you need us you know we will come help." I said before hanging up the phone.

"What do you mean you will need all of them if I am to make it through child birth Alastair?" I heard my mates sweet voice say. I groaned cursing myself for speaking about it in here. I should have left the room.

"Love, you have a full blood Demon growing inside of you… We will need Rowen to see your life path, Evan to feel where the pain is radiating from.."

"And Victor to heal me." she said before I could finish. 

"Yes. But please my sweet mate do not worry, all will be okay. I promise I will never let anything happen to you." I said pulling her onto my lap and wrapping my arms around her. "I love you so much."

"I love you too" she said resting her head on my chest.

"My King, My Queen you have visitors." Luke said through the intercom.

I let out a deep breath, standing her up I went to the closet grabbing clothes for her and shirt for me. I handed her the clothing and throw my shirt on waiting for her to be ready.

"Can we keep this from people until we know the baby is growing okay?" she whispered.

I walked over wrapping my arms around her pulling her to me.

"Yes my love of course." I said placing a kiss to her head. "Now let us go see who has come to visit."

We walked out of our room down the hall and out of the front door to see Victor and Arabella standing there. I could feel my mates mood increases as soon as she saw her new found friend.

"Arabella!!" I yelled running down the steps wrapping her in a tight hug. "I am so please to have you visit my home! Why are you here?" 

"We have come so my mate can meet your hounds and possibly see if she bonds with one of the ones who are not spoken for." Victor said. 

"Victor my friend. I am please to see you have brought your mate to visit us. You look like you two are in better standing." Alastair said with a large smile wrapping his arms protectively around me. 

"They have come to me Shuck and Rose, and possibly taking one of the other hounds." I said with a bright smile. 

"That is a very good idea actually, I feel better knowing if I am not with my mate her hounds are so she is very safe." Alastair said with a nod of approval. 

He just finished his sentence when I saw shuck rub agaisnt Arabella's side. I expected to see fear on her face but instead I saw her glow with excitement. I patted my companions on the heads walking over to Arabella taking her hand and wrapping it into my arm I lead us to the kennel.

"I am so excited! I do hope you bond with one." I said looking behind us,  I turned leaning in as I whispered "I am hoping to bond with a few more while we are there. But don't tell Alastair." I started laughing pulling her closer laying my head on her shoulder. She  laughed with my laying her head on mine. I think we will be quick to a good friendship.

"Good Afternoon my Queen, My lady. How can I help you today?" The kennel master asked. 

"Our sweet Arabella is hoping to bond with one of your fine hounds today." I said with a smile. 

I released her hand walking over to two very small hound pups, I bent down looking at them to see if they were meant to bond with me, and to my surprise I was right they both waddled their way over to me so I could shower them with kisses and hugs. They were both females.

"I think your name will be Fern and yours Willow. My sweet beautiful girls ." I said with a smile. My attention was grabbed when I heard Victor.

"Where is she?" I heard Victor say with panic. 

"I am here my love." she said waving at him. You could barely see her over the two massive hounds.

"Oh my Lord, She must be very careful." the kennel master said. 

Victor stopped in his tracks looking at him with a stare that would kill. 

"What are you talking about?" he said in a harsh tone. 

"Sir, forgive me I did not know they were in here asleep. But those two are the most aggressive hounds we have here, they have never bonded other than with each other and they do attack people who come to close." he said with a shaky voice. 

"How can you say such crude things? These two are lovely, they wrapped themselves around me with their heads laying on my lap as they slept." she said with a harsh tone making the Kennel master bow his head and back away. 

"Well look at that!!! You bonded with Vlad and Norman. How exciting I was truly hoping they would bond with someone." I said with a big smile as I held my two new hounds in my arms. 

"Angel, two more hounds?" Alastair said with a smile. 

"Remember my love we do not choose them, the choose us." I  said with a smile looking back to Arabella.

"Great, now let us go have supper!" I said turning on my heels walking out of the building. "We are having your favorite Victor." I called over my shoulder. 

"Oh my love you are in for a treat come." he said with a smile on his face.

We walked inside to see that Luke had already set the table, he was laying the food out as we walked in. I set my two girls on the floor letting them go bother Shuck and Rose while we ate, and I saw Vlad and Norman go lay down on the rug curling into each other. They were good hounds never harming me and they will be even better for Arabella.

We sat talking about our old lives, what we went through as mates and listening to war stories from the boys with the occasional bar hoping story sprinkled in. All in all the food was amazing and company was even better. I truly loved Arabella and I was so please Victor found his mate. We watched them as they left with the hounds flanking each side. I waved and they were gone.

"That was a lovely visit, I can see myself and Arabella becoming fast friends." I said looking up at Alastair.

"I am pleased you two get along so well my love." he said placing a kiss to my forehead. "Are you ready for bed?"

"Yes please, I am drained from today's events." I said as we walked into the house.

We ended our night like we normally do wrapped around each other in a blissed state of happiness.
