“Amanda!!”
I immediately ran to where the morgue, leaving them behind. I can’t help myself crying while I am running to where I am going, When I got there, I saw some attendants that are assigned by their shift startled when I burst into their door.
“M-Miss? Can we help you?” I looked at their startled face and ignored them, I started walking towards the area where body was placed into the table and being covered by cloth, I opened those clothes individually, until I stopped and saw a tag that is written by my brother’s name, the attendant immediately came and grabbed my arm, wanting me to go out first to calm down, I grabbed my arm back and raised my voice at the guy.
“I won’t go out until you let me see Aldren’s dead body with my own eyes!” I was panting, tears falling into my cheeks looking at the guy. Crystal and Lance came inside without hesitating, and Mom was with them too.
“Amanda- “
“I already said that I don’t want this, I don’t want this eye, his eyes.” I said “When I was blind, everything was okay, my brother was with me, my friend was with me. But now that I can see, I can see everything, you, me and everyone. But it’s useless.”
“Amanda, what your brother gave you is not useless- “
“Then, where is he?!?” i suddenly raised my voice at mom, Crystal and Lance were speechless.
“You guys can’t even answer me, these eyes are useless” i grabbed the scalpel from a try and everyone was trying to stop me holding me grabbing my hand, they are stopping me from stabbing my eye until they got the scalpel and mom hugged me tightly, so tight for me not to move, I couldn’t do anything but cry while looking at my brother’s body that is covered in front of me.
“He’s so unfair, he said that he wouldn’t leave and he promised. I thought I could finally see him, but he’s gone.”

A few weeks passed since Aldren died, a lot happened, mom gave my brother a funeral and mom decided that we would have some vacation abroad and stay there for a while after everything happened. We said goodbyes to kind maids and butler’s for taking care of our home, we didn’t fire them but mom let them stay to take good care our home while we are away and said their goodbye wishes. Lance and Crystals are with us in the airport, helping us with our bags.
"I will miss you Amanda." she said smiling bitterly at me, and I looked at her and smiled.
"Don't you ever forget your beautiful cousin, okay?" she smiled
"Me too, Crystal." I said "I will miss both of you, thank you for being with me, especially you Lance, thank you for being my second brother even if Aldren isn’t here anymore."
"Why are you sad?" Lance asked and gave me his handkerchief.
"You know what your older brother said to me, before he’s gone? He said he doesn't want to see you sad, so try to smile. If else, he would scare you" Lance and mom laughed.
"Be careful in abroad.'" Crystal said.
"Take care of yourself." Lance smiled at me.
"Thank you." I hugged them both to thank them properly and they hugged me back.
"Amanda, let’s go now. We might miss the flight" mama took our suitcase and wave at Crystal and Lance and went inside first.
"All right, you have to go or you might be left behind." Lance said while smiling, Crystal was just looking at me.
"You guys be careful okay?" they nodded, I took my suitcase and followed mom, I turned to them to see them again, and saw them waving at me. I smiled at them; they were just waving at me but suddenly they became three who is waving at me. I saw my older brother behind them smiling and waving at me, I stopped and felt like crying at what I saw, thinking I would to run to him but when I blink, he’s not there.
"Amanda, what's the problem?" I turned to mom and wiped my eyes.
"Ah, N-nothing” After we checked our luggage we immediately went to the plane, Mom and I put our belongings on top and I immediately sat by the window, mom held my hand ang gave me a warm smile as she looked into my eyes.
"Amanda, are you okay? You’re so quiet."
"It’s nothing" I smiled at him and turned my gaze to the window "Maybe I was just, tired earlier"
"Don't worry, manda" I looked at him.
"By the time we get to Abroad, Let’s start a new life okay?" I raised an eyebrow at what mama said N-new life
“Does that mean we will also forget, Aldren- " mom paused for a second.
"No, it’s not like that" said mama.
"I mean, we will leave all the painful things that happened here, isn't that what siblings wants? Let's be happy?" I smiled at what mama said to me.
"Ma? maybe Aldren knows that I'm not very happy for the past days because of his death including Tyson.” she looked at me but now she held my hand more tightly
It didn't take long for the flight stewards to come out, they had a demo on how to wear the seat belt and so on, and the plane took off.
