Allison pulled away, a hint of a smile playing across her lips as her eyes sparkled. She looked pretty, and I found myself wishing I could pull her back in to kiss her again.
But before I could act on that impulse, Amanda's voice cut through the moment, breaking the spell. I rolled my eyes at her interruption.
“Amanda, you're still here?” I replied, trying to keep my cool.
“Of course I am,” she shot back, her tone filled with annoyance as she focused her gaze on Allison.
