~ALLISON’S POV~ The car was silent when I climbed in, save for the faint hum of the engine. Ash didn’t look at me as I settled into the passenger seat, pulling his oversized shirt tighter around me. He stared straight ahead, one hand gripping the steering wheel, the other drumming against the gearshift. His knuckles were still bloody, and I could see tiny shards of glass embedded in his skin. “You should get that cleaned up,” I said, breaking the silence.
