Chapter 6: What Kind of Innocence Are You Pretending to Have

“Release me, you let go...” Shi Xiaonian struggled, stomping on his shoe. Gong Ou stood firmly, unmoved. She was barefoot, and that kick scarcely had any force to him, yet it enraged him. Her resistance and struggle only served to fuel his fury further.

“Only want to talk about that, huh?” Gong Ou abruptly reined in his smile, glaring at her sullenly and wrathfully, his fingers clenching her arm with all his might, his voice nearly a growl as he spat out, “Alright, Shi Xiaonian, I’ll talk to you then!”

“...” Shi Xiaonian was somewhat stupefied. She had never witnessed someone’s rage being so dreadful. The fury blazing in his eyes seemed to sear her, and her arm felt as if it was on the verge of being crushed.

“A week ago, that wasn’t coercion, that was an act between husband and wife!” Gong Ou yanked her forcefully in front of him, lowering his head to whisper into her ear, his tone rakish and unbridled, even bordering on cruelty, “You seemed to be thoroughly enjoying yourself that night.”

“You—you’re shameless...” Shi Xiaonian could never have anticipated him uttering such despicable words, and her struggle intensified. She was clad only in a short-sleeved sweat steaming suit. The pure white color accentuated her delicate pinkish skin, making her look all the more charming. Moreover, she wasn’t even wearing any undergarments, and with her violent struggles, the collar gaped wide open, revealing everything. Gong Ou, being a normal man, gradually felt his body tensing up. He had never been one to restrain himself, and thus, he dragged Shi Xiaonian up the steps and into the lavishly decorated bathroom hall. Any obstacles in the way were all kicked aside by him.

Inside the bathroom hall, numerous showerheads spurted out copious sprays of water. There was water all over the floor. White mist hovered in the air.

“What on earth do you think you’re doing?” Shi Xiaonian was forcibly hauled into the hall by him. His long legs took rapid strides, and she could scarcely keep up, staggering along in a flurry, looking utterly wretched.

“Bang.” Gong Ou slammed her hard against the wall and pressed himself upon her without hesitation. The softness unique to a woman made his throat constrict repeatedly, and a fire coursed through his entire body, burning fiercely. The woman before him now seemed the sole antidote. He gripped her shoulders tightly, growling in anger, “I gave you a week to hand over the child, yet you kept going on blind dates. Since you’re so desperate for a man to put you in your place, I’ll oblige and show you what true coercion is!”

With that, a large hand reached inside her clothes. Shi Xiaonian thrashed about agitatedly. Unlike a week ago when she was drowsy in that sweltering room, this time, she was wide awake. Awake to the fact that she couldn’t fend off this tall man before her. And yet, the outcome was the same.

“Don’t, let go, release me...” Shi Xiaonian pushed at him frantically, her voice going out of tune. Gong Ou stood beneath a showerhead, large streams of water pounding on his head. His whole body was drenched, his short hair plastered to his forehead, water droplets trickling down his chiseled features, outlining an infinite allure and, at the same time, extreme danger. He yanked off his cumbersome windbreaker, and Shi Xiaonian immediately seized the chance to dash out, but had scarcely taken a step when Gong Ou snatched her back and pinned her forcefully against the wall again.

“Shi Xiaonian! Why are you feigning innocence and chastity now? Have you forgotten how wanton you were when you clawed your way into my bed three years ago?” Gong Ou clamped down on her shoulders tightly, glaring at her with resentment in his eyes.

“You’re talking nonsense. I didn’t even know you before. Let me go...” Shi Xiaonian kicked at him, only to find herself pressed even closer to his chest. She had no idea whether the strange heat coursing through her at this moment was due to anger or... the searing warmth emanating from that chest so close to her.
