He went to the king like a gentle fellow
Sealing his intentions with his gifts of golds.
Oh what a fortune ensued to the king
So much golds he'd poured out from his bag
That was only made of goat skin.
The man knelt to the ground in sober
Wiping his tears with his best
rags ever.
And before the king's feet
He pleaded for mercies
that he may be keep alive in his stead
Having seen the fellow's humility that got him empathized
The king arose from his throne and he was sympathized
His heart he knew was troubled.
What's it gentleman
Where did you come from?
All these treasures you have given marvel my soul.
To what do I owe such an honour
With these golds you presented before me?
The king asked still wondering why.
His secret intentions behind his gifts of golds.
Then the king sat back on his Royal seat
while he watched the young fellow restless in spirit
But His quest for his mission will make an ease at least
.
And before his counsel he commanded him to speak
Of his mission why he came quick
I have come to seek refuge in your kingdom your Majesty.
I won't mind to serve you all my life.
I mean no harm if you accept me to stay.
For my country's home had been invaded.
The lives of our people are gone at stake.
Mother's children crawling on their bellies.
The blood of the innocents are being wasted upon the soil.
Therefore I pledge to serve this land with my power and might.
Accept me o, king for I am poor and needy.
Where are your family, mother and children. The king asked in a suspicious tone.
I tell you your Majesty
They are gone. I had nobody now.
That's why I fled to seek your help in your fortress.
Take Me your Royal majesty
Don't send me back lest I die.
Accept these gifts I brought to you.
My father's treasures that was left for me.
As longs as my life is save. These treasures I will offer to keep it.
The king was moved with empathy.
He had won his sympathy.
Then he accepted him and make him a guard in his royal castle.
With the allegiance if he will be good to his kingdom at large.
And for many years
The fellow served the king.
He was honoured of a chief gurad in the king's palace.
Rendering apologies
with tears In his eyes that he
seldom shades.
