Ginger Fields POV
The journey to the Texture residence in the sports car with its top dropped was a fast and exciting one. I spent the whole time watching the road and enjoying the air as we cruised to our destination.
Adrien Texture did not say much through the journey, he just smiled the whole time. Only turning his attention to me a few times and chuckling or laughing with me, when I laughed at certain things that caught my attention.
As we drove through the gates that led us into his estate, he reduced the speed at which he was driving, and then almost like he changed his mind about something, he stopped the car in the middle of the road.
He then turned to me and said,
“So, did you like the rose I put in your gift bag? I wanted to give you a whole bouquet but I was not sure you liked them.”
“I did, I like roses even though I have not gotten them in a while,” I said
"Why?"
"I don't know," I said sincerely.
"That is not good, you should get roses every day. Would you like to see something?"
I chuckled and said, "What?"
"Something beautiful."
"Sure,"
“Good, then I’ll show you something beautiful.” He said with a wink then smiling at me he started the car and turned his attention back to it. We kept driving down the road and then he took a right turn on the wide road.
Adrien drove for a few more minutes and then stopped in front of a tall white picket fence. The picket fence was actually looking very beautiful and I wondered if that was what he had brought me here to see.
He parked the car right there in front of the picket fence then he came out, leaving the keys in and walked to my side where he opened the car door and said,
“I know you would love this.”
Narrowing my eyes at him, I said, "The picket fence?"
Laughing at me he said, "No, silly. Come on"
He put out his hand which I took as I got out of the car, closing the door behind me he led the way to the picket fence. He looked at me and then he pushed through the door, and then I followed him.
Immediately I got in, I was surrounded by beautiful scents and that was when I saw the flowers around.
“Hmmm, smells like paradise,” I said as I walked into the garden.
“It is paradise, for me. Welcome to my garden, Ginger. Come on let me show you where the roses are.” Adrien said as he put out his hand for me to take.
Taking his hand, I followed as he led me through the other flowers towards the rose garden. Getting to the rose garden took a few minutes but I did not mind because the stroll through the garden was pleasing, both mentally and physically.
As we got there, the beautiful scents were heightened and I let them envelop me,
“beautiful.” I quietly said
“Just like you,” Adrien said smiling at me.
I smiled back at him, “Just like me.” I concurred
Laughing, he picked up garden scissors from a bench which was beside one of the bushes and cut one red rose then after smelling it, he came closer to me and gave it to me.
“Here,”
After giving me the rose, he walked back to the bench, sat down on it, and patted the space beside him.
I walked to him and sat down on the bench.
“So Ginger, what do you like? Apart from roses that is.”
I sat up and crossed my legs, still holding on to the single red rose he had given me and then I said,
“I like fashion and art. My life revolves around those two things, what about you Mr. Texture? What do you like?”
“Apart from you?” he said with a flirtatious chuckle
I chuckled too, “Yes, apart from me.”
“Well, I like what you like. I like fashion and art and I also like money, travel, cars,” then he added with a short laugh, “more money.”
“Of course,” I said
Then I asked, “Why do you like what you like?”
“Hmmmn, it has been a while since anyone asked me this. If I tell you my reasons, would you tell me yours?”
I chuckled because he sounded like a child, “Maybe.”
“Maybe? Urgh, now I want to know.”
“I’ll think about telling you.”
“Then I will also think about telling you,”
I laughed at his reply, “Okay, tell me yours since I asked the question first, then I will tell you mine.”
“Promise?”
“I promise,” I said lifting my right hand.
“Okay then, so…” he went on to talk about those reasons.
As he spoke to me about the things he liked and why he liked them I listened to him and at a point, I started looking at the man before me.
He wore black wide leg pants and a white shirt with sheer sleeves. He oozed confidence and s*x appeal and I could not even deny that. Adrien Texture talked with so much passion about the things he loved, from the way he spoke, I could tell that he was a passionate person who would go after the things he wanted.
There was also an arrogance about him and you can tell that it was something that was a part of him, a part of his character. The amount of money and influence he had at his disposal were obviously one of the things that fueled his arrogance. He was an undeniably attractive man and it was another thing that fueled his arrogance.
I looked at his face properly for the first time tonight and I could tell that the pictures really did not do him justice, he had a slight dimple that only showed when he spoke and his chiseled features looked sharper now that I was closer to him.
Lucille had said he was every woman's dream and she did not lie there. But at the same time, he was a playboy whose advances and flirtatious behavior was not to be taken seriously.
I knew that and I made a mental note to not forget it.
******
He was definitely fun and talking to him was easy, he spoke with so much ease, and from everything we spoke about, I could tell that he was very business minded. He had been brought up that way and his family roots were the major things that influenced him.
I told him the things I liked, the things and situations that influenced them. I also spoke about the things that fueled my passion, he made it easy to speak about these things to him.
After the short conversation we just had, we left the garden with me holding his hand and only leaving it when he wanted to close the fence. Adrien closed the picket fence as I watched then just as he was about to walk to his side of the car and me to mine, he stopped and asked,
"Can you drive?"
"Yeah, I can. Why do you ask?"
He did not answer, he just walked to the other side of the car where I had been seated earlier on and then he said, "You are going to drive us to the house."
I laughed at that, "Don't be ridiculous, I don't know the way to your house, Mr. Texture. Please can you get out of my seat now?"
"No. the road is a straight forward one, you'll see," he said still seated.
Sighing, I just walked to and got into the driver's seat because I knew he was not going to budge.
"Good girl, Now let's go."
Annoying, I thought as I started the car and drove us to the house. It was actually a straight forward ride and driving this expensive car had been so smooth. I fell in love with it.
Once we got there, I was impressed by the design of the house. It was a dream, before I was able to take in the whole view, I saw the security detail who had given me the gift bag and Adrien introduced him to me as "Roger,"
"Good day, Miss," he said to me.
"Good day, Roger."
After that, Adrien excused himself and spoke to Roger for a few seconds as I continued to look at the beauty that was Adrien's home. After the short conversation he just had with Roger, Adrien then took my hand and led me into the house. We walked up the stairs and then he took me up to the balcony because he said that is where we were going to have dinner. It was massive and beautiful with soft yellow lights everywhere.
I was sold.
There was a lace covered canopy at the edge of the balcony and from the edge of the balcony, you could see a part of the city.
“Can I walk over to the edge?”
“Sure,” he said as he led me to the edge of the balcony. As we got there, I looked at the beautiful lights of the city and removed my hand from his so that I could use both hands to hold the railings. I moved closer to the railings and leaned out so that I could feel the clean air there.
As I let the breeze fan me, I appreciated how cool and clean the breeze here felt then I opened my arms just like Jack and Rose in the titanic.
I laughed at my silliness then I dropped my arms and turned to Adrien who was just quietly observing me.
“I’m ready for dinner now.”
“Are you sure? We can stay here longer if you want.”
“Nah, I’m good and I am ready for dinner,” I said as I let him lead me to the canopy.
If I ever come back here again, I will come with a book and I am just going to sit there and read the book.
As we got there he led me to the table which was set under the lace covered canopy, pulled back the chair for me to sit, and then he walked to his own seat and sat down.
It was time for Dinner.
