Serena allowed the moment to linger before her tone shifted, becoming lighter, almost teasing as she continued. "But Roderic," she said with a gentle smile, "I’m not done with you yet. For your punishment, I’m assigning you a new responsibility—one that I think you’re uniquely suited for. You will be tasked with looking after the young pups in the pack, and teaching them the old stories and traditions."
The room fell into a stunned silence. No one had expected this turn of events, and it took a moment for everyone to process what Serena had just said. Then, a flicker of movement caught my eye.
