Faith We talked and ignored the world until the first faint wind of night swept into the little dark restaurant. I stood and offered my hand to Zane. “Will you hold this while I go for a walk?" I said. At the Casa 1900's elevators Zane looked at my mouth and I looked at his and then we each looked away and I felt compelled to giggle a little and a smile stopped a moment on his face. “I am on the ninth floor," I said. “Room 919." “I am on the fourth floor, 419," he said. I pressed the four on the panel and it turned orange. He pressed the nine and it glowed orange as well. The machine counted the mounted floors with soft chimes.
