LOCATION: Moonless Court - War Room
The map on my table is a work of art.
Every mark, every line, every small notation represents decades of planning. I trace my finger along the eastern territories, pausing at the locations where my wolves have engaged with "natural" packs. Skirmishes. Tests. Probes.
The reports are satisfactory.
"The girl used her power." I don't look up when I speak. "She stopped the wolves with a single command."
Selene stands in the shadows behind me. I can feel her presence, cold and watchful. "The child responded as well. The energy signature was... unusual."
"Unusual how?"
"Stronger than expected. The child is absorbing Moon energy at an accelerated rate."
I smile. "Excellent."
