Moonless Court - Throne Room
The wards scream.
I feel the surge of power like a physical blow, a wave of silver energy that ripples through the Moonless Court's ancient defenses. It shakes the walls, rattles the windows, and for one breathless moment, the entire fortress seems to hold its breath.
And then I laugh.
It starts low in my chest and builds until it echoes through the throne room, bouncing off the black stone walls. I haven't laughed like this in decades. Perhaps centuries.
