Chapter 15 (Wrong Turn)

AFTER a few more long tiring walks going back to her route, Georgette’s knees were getting sore, and her feet underneath her boots were begging for cold water and salve. She sighed, looking at the dusk sky, fluctuating its color from orange to intense yellowish red into purple. Another day had ended and she hadn’t reached Wolfram’s lair yet. She smoothed her hair, trying to massage her scalp where Red had yanked and pulled a few strands of her locks. Her anger rose, not towards Red but more to herself, she let her do that to her. She was so consumed by her thoughts and idly walking that she didn’t realize a group of men was in a camp, drinking beer and merrymaking nearby. One of the drunken men spotted her and nudged the other man next to him. “Hey look what I found,” then jutted his chin to point at her, still unaware of their presence. The men sneered maliciously, thinking the same thing. One man, a burly with a huge belly suddenly recognized her and shouted. “Drats! That’s her! That’s the girl that stole my horse!” “Hagrid, are you sure about that?” “Aye! She is the one that I told you, about before passed out, I had her thrice,” Which sent the men laughing, not believing him. Humiliated, he knocked his fist on the table. “I swear, I had her, she offered her body as payment for taking her to the town,” “She probably didn’t like it so she took the stud instead,” one jested which sent them again into guffaw. Getting his face all red in humiliation and anger, he stood and walked out. Determined to make the gal pay for its transgression and to show to his friends that he was telling no falsehood. “Where are you going? Come on, we are just fooling around,” “I’m getting her and I will prove that I am telling the truth, I will drag her here and take her in front of you all, are going to help me or I will just keep her to myself?” Hagred suggested a sinister plan which everyone agreed. Laughing devilishly, he led them and chased after that sneaky gal, to retaliate for her wrong deed but also, to enjoy her with his company. Georgette was mindlessly strolling, getting cautious because she felt she was being followed. She looked behind and saw nothing. Her uneasiness doubled when the cool wind of the night blew, tugging her red riding hood again, closer to her body and walking fast. She looked at her back again, sensing someone or something was watching her. “Fancy meeting you again, little gal,” a man just showed up in front of her. She jumped out of her skin and froze. Then four more men emerged from the hiding, from the tree around her. She looked at them and cowered. “W-who are you? Sir? W-what can I do for you?” They just laughed, a kind of laugh that can give someone tons of creep. “She looked fine for me, what do you say, Finch?” “Aye, such a fine lady,” “A fair maiden, eh? She doesn't look like the type of woman that will agree to you, Hagred,” She heard someone growl. A man growl that could scare a girl like her. “Sir, I do not have anything to give you, please, let me pass, I am really in a hurry,” She tried to pass but two men blocked her. She stepped away, backing before she felt someone touch her back and touch her hair. She wiggled free and took a safe distance away from them. They were encircling her like a pack of wild animals that were ready to attack and devour. Her tears finally fell as she begged “Please, spare me, I am in a delicate condition, I am with child,” Then everyone laughed again except the big hefty man who blinked twice. “Hagrid, you finally hit a target,” one man jested, slapping the man’s back. “You blew her pregnant,” Which made the other men chimed in, laughing at the man. One man told. “How can she be the one you lain with, your crooked loin couldn’t give your wife a brood,” Anger boiled on the man’s face. “Shut your filthy mouth, Gywer! I knew it was her! Who stole the horse and had lain with me thrice! She’s a w***e! She kept inviting everyone to pull her legs and f**k her,” then grabbed her by the arms and shook her. “Tell them, you witch, tell them that it was you who gave herself to me in the trade of taking you to town! Tell them!” She cried out, screaming for help, and clawed the face of the man before she started to run. She heard the man's angry laugh and commanded his comrade to get her. She didn’t stop running, and didn’t look back, she cried for help and prayed that someone would hear her. “Wolfram, Wolfram!” No one came, she could hear nothing but the voices of the five men chasing her. “Wolfram! Please help me and our baby!” Sobbing, she looked around, she was not familiar with the surroundings but she didn’t care, she had to lose her chasers. She was running when someone grabbed her waist and lifted her. “I got her!” her captor shouted and pinned her to the tree trunk, shaking his pants down. “Finders keepers,” and placed her two arms above her head as he started kissing her neck. She cried out. She could smell the stench odor of his breath and with one quick motion, she hit his groin, pushing him away from her. He hissed and took that lightly, he was tall and his limbs were far longer than hers, also much stronger built and in a single pull, she was sent to the ground, lying on her back, her skirt fell up to her knees, exposing her calves. She could see the hunger in the man’s eyes. She pulled her skirt down and tried to stand but the man pushed her down on the ground and toppled her, her eyes went wide seeing his exposed phallus. She was pleading and praying. Asking for a miracle to happen. “Please, sir, I beg of you!” The man just ignored her pleading, grappling her arms in one hand while the other one was setting her legs apart, before groping her thigh. She screamed in helplessness and sobbed. “Wolfram!” A loud growl from a beast roared in the air followed by a strong blow of the wind made the leaves rustle wildly. Georgette felt the time just stop when she saw two glowing eyes and sharp fangs that showed up, and with one powerful shove, the beast sent the man lying on top of her, flying and hitting his back on the tree trunk, hitting his head hard and the marks on his neck from the beast’s claws. Blood smeared on the trunk, and left the blank stare of his once blue-grey eyes. Slumping, showing his naked bottom part to everyone. She was too stunned, too terrified to move. Even breathing was a hard task. The beast looked at her, crouching to touch her, but she scooted a few inches, shaking and her face that lost its color was the evidence that the beast terrified her. Standing six feet and nine, probably seven feet in height. Big, bulky with a wide chest that sported a long scar. A bzou, she just encountered the legendary bzou. The beast growled lowly and looked away. That was the moment she realized that the beast was not alone, three or five more beasts showed up, hovering in the bushes, and one that went to the dead man. “Did the man hurt you aside from he tried his way on you?” She searched for the owner of the baritone voice and realized it come from the beast. The beast held out his hand with a sharp claw. “Stand up now, little gal, you’re safe now,” Her tears fell to her cheek, attacked by her terrible hiccups, and struggled to breathe before she realized it, she fell back to the ground. Only the starry night under her and the howling of the beast remained clear to her before everything stopped and went blank. ****** Joachim stared at the girl he just saved from being ravished and spotted a lilting familiarity on her face. He dropped to his knees and sniffed her. His smell didn’t go wrong, she was his daughter. Gritting his teeth, full of rage. He took a quick jump and grabbed on the man who just dared to sully his only daughter. His wolf princess. “You bastard!” he was about to rip the man’s body apart when Gallyd seized his arm. “Stop, Joachim! we have eyes, you don’t want to start a war again, don’t you?” Joachim let out a hollow growl and howled eerily making the animals and men that would hear it scurry and scram. Then he bit the left ear of the man and ripped it, then spit, letting the blood drip on his mouth before discarding the carcass. He heard Gallyd sigh and order the other members of the pack to clean the mess, carrying the body to throw in the river. He returned to his precious child and carried her. One curious werewolf asked him. “Are you taking her to our place? Blanchett will kill you if she finds out—” “Tis my child,” he said laconically, making them all baffled but didn’t argue with him. “It’s rightful to take her with us, she belongs to Rugabaga, anyway,” “I highly agree, besides, it’s dark, we cannot just leave the fair maiden here, men are the dangerous kind of beasts aside from us,” Gallyd chimed in. “Of course, as you wish Joachim,” he heard them all agreed and gathered behind him. “Continue the hunt, I’m taking my child to the camp myself,” Everyone nodded. No one dared answer against him, he was the leader. The alpha. “Gallyd, lead the pack while I’m away, no dog fight behind my back, understood?” He gave his last order before he took another high leap into the air and landed on the tree top then to the another and landed on land again before he dashed. Because he was the alpha, he was strongest, and no one could match him in a wrestle, fastest, no one could outrun him, but the hotheaded too, easy to turn his mood foul and would wreck anything on his way. But seeing his daughter and carrying her in his arms, Joachim felt something that man didn’t like to feel. A father losing her daughter in the wild, mad world. Stern, stubborn as a bull, and arrogant, was how everyone described him. But nobody knows that he also has his weakness, it is his family, and losing one of them weakens his inside. Joachim stopped, even though he had run a hundred miles, he didn’t pant. It was just a normal trot to him. But what made his heart thump was finally, his family was completed, having his daughter back. In his wolf form, he spoke absently. “Welcome home, Georgie,”
