Jess studied the picture of real space the Wanderer was able to generate. While the ship was in jump space details were difficult to discern, but several major themes could be made out.
Firstly, there was wreckage. An awful lot of wreckage. A massive battle must have taken place, or possibly a m******e. Then there was the fleet. It was heading in the opposite direction to the Wanderer, and it was immense.
“Look at the size of it,” he said. “It’s at least ten times the size of the two fleets we saw fighting. Whichever side it’s on is going to be unstoppable when it arrives.”
