Not at all. She had purposefully spilled her coke all over me! I was completely drenched. My teeth were clenched. Presumably to carry her dinner plate to the trash can, she was holding it. Her girlfriends were giggling at me in public. They were all cheerleaders, skimpily clothed with a sinister look in their eyes. I attempted wiping my face with my hoodie's sleeves after flipping my damp hair away from my face. When the liquid struck my eyes, it burned. Ellie wouldn't care, really. Gritting my teeth, I peered over the table. Luckily, my job was flawless. Somehow, the coke had missed it. That or Ellie had been specifically targeting me all along. I sensed that it was a miracle.
As everyone in the cafeteria gazed at me, I thought, Please go away, please let that be all. Ellie c*****g her head as she stood there.
Her eyes shone brightly. She appeared displeased with me since I wasn't responding, which infuriated her.
I shook my head. "Aren't you going to say something?" she asked. At their table, the Jocks give each other high fives. A tiny smile played at the corner of Ellie's lips.
She cast her gaze down to the vacant table.
She scoffed, saying, "You must be so hungry. Poor thing." You don't have any food," she said, to the tittering of her friends. "Let's alter that should we?" she offered, her voice soft.
She spilled the contents of her tray all over me before I could move. Yoghurt all over the place, sauce dripping from a sloppy joe into my trousers and sweatshirt. A piece of rotting apple fell into my lap. Trash strewn on the floor.
"You're done. Ellie laughed, tossing her hair over her shoulders and saying, "You look like a human garbage dump, which is what you are." Everyone laughed at me.
I got up and tucked my belongings away while fighting back tears. I ran out of the café and luckily found the closest unoccupied bathroom. I winced at the image of myself. I not only smelled horrible, but I looked like a total disaster. In a panic, I reached for a paper towel and started wiping off all I could. However, the scent persisted and the stains on my clothes persisted no matter what I did.
Although I felt embarrassed, that wasn't unusual.
That As Wrung cut my hair, I assured myself that it was just another bump in the road and that I could handle it. All you need to do is finish off these two glasses. Your schoolwork is necessary. Stay in school and don't let them run you out. Just like every other school day, you will be in charge of them. My heart didn't truly believe what I whispered.
As soon as the bell rang, I made my way to my next class while attempting to ignore the jeers and pointing from other pupils. My teachers didn't say anything about how I looked, but they also didn't seem to care that I was having problems. As far as they were concerned, it was not their problem. The future Alpha was the only one to whom they displayed any deference or respect. They would never say anything, so he could do anything he pleased. Hell, his football status would guarantee him a spot in college. That was the unfairness of life. To be able to pay for education, I would need to apply for scholarships and find employment. But if it meant leaving this place as quickly as possible, I would stop at nothing.
Ellie shouted, "There goes the fat pig," and I leaned against her car as I left the school. "Should I chase her with my car and make her run?" she said. She pondered aloud.
Her pals laughed heartily. "What happens if you hit her?" "You might give her a heart attack."
"Most likely, the obese pig would simply roll. She is really overweight."
"You believe? Another person joked, "She reminds me of the state puff marshmallow man." More giggling. I glanced at the gates as I passed them. I leaped when Ellie cranked the motor of her automobile.
She told me to "run piggy run" before jumping into her car and yelling to her girlfriends, "Let's see how fast she can go" as they started to chant and cheer.
I sprinted in the direction of the gate, feeling ill to my stomach. Pushing past the throng, he started running in the direction of the woodland. As I looked over my shoulder, Ellie was right behind me driving her car and had a sly smile on her face. When she stated she would drive her car to chase me, I didn't think she meant it. My throat was full of my heart. Fear gripped me. My legs ached more. My respiration was laboured. Would I be able to make it? Ellie honked the horn and drove by as I shouted and sprang off the road, laughing uncontrollably. Oh my. It had been quite close. Drops of sweat ran down my face. I had my jeans stuck to me. I started the long, unpleasant walk home by slowing down to a stroll. I'd barely made it through another day. Who knew what Ellie had planned for the afternoon, or what waited for me when my father arrived home? I held my rucksack higher and hoped with all my heart that she was going out with her girlfriends. I sighed and thought, "What I wouldn't give for a car or a portal to another world." At this point, even vampire packs were starting to appear appealing.
