Clare felt her body go tense at the words, Xavier’s arms tightening around her waist as he too stiffened up. A sense of dread filled her as she gazed at the other Fae. How did she know? Did Clare miss something or accidently expose herself? Questions hounded Clare as she tried to figure out what she was going to do. “I…” Clare started but closed her mouth.
