Chapter Four

1429 Words
I finally muster up the courage to walk in, and that was the wrong idea. All I see is a butt, a full-on moon-shining, white pasty butt. I stand there frozen, unsure of what to do, as they’re too caught up in the moment to realize someone has walked in. My eyes pace back and forth, and for a moment, I consider turning around and walking back out. But Ty is needed on the field in less than fifteen minutes, and many teachers or peers could walk in here. “Ahem.” I cough. “Oh my god, Ari!” Sia yells breathlessly. I close my eyes and turn my back to them before talking. “You have fifteen minutes until kick-off, Ty,” I say. “Can you two please hurry up? Someone could walk in.” I say. “Get out.” Sia huffs. “We’re about done here,” Ty says. “Hurry up,” I say, annoyed. I walk back out of the boys' locker room and still cannot process what I have just seen. I have seen Sia naked before, as we have been best friends for most of our lives. But I hadn’t seen her and never wanted to see her getting railed on a bench in the boys' locker room. I need to scrub my brain of the scene I just saw. I am standing there disgusted; all I can hear is moaning and grunting. Gag me, I think to myself. Sia and Ty walk out as happily as peacocks a few minutes later. All I can do is shake my head and laugh at them. “See ya on the field, baby girl,” Ty says. Ew, I think to myself. “See you there, baby,” Sia replies. Sia turns and looks at me and places her hands on her hips while laughing. “Enjoy the show?” She asks. “No, I didn’t.” I deadpan. “Oh, come on, Ari, loosen up a bit,” Sia says. “I think you are loose enough for the both of us," I tease. “Rude,” Sia says. “I call 'em’ as I see them,” I reply. Sia nods her head towards the door and wraps her arm through mine as we begin walking out. >>-----------♥----------->-----------♥----------- **Kai’s POV** “Dude, what the hell?” Jackson laughs. “It’s not my fault you suck at this,” I reply. “I don’t suck, bro; you’re just a d**k,” Jackson replies. “Nah, I’m just better than you,” I reply, laughing. “Right,” Jackson laughs. Jackson is the Beta of our pack and one of my best friends for as long as I can remember. We are playing one of the many video games when my little brother, Bryce, interrupts our conversation. “Kai,” Bryce yells from across the room. “What?” I yell back. “Are you still coming to my football game tonight?” Bryce asks. “Is that tonight?” I ask. “Kai, I have told you every day this week that it is Friday.” He replies, annoyed. “Bryce, I was kidding, and yes, I am coming,” I reply, slightly agitated. “We have to leave soon,” Bryce says. “How long?” I ask. “Less than 30 minutes,” Bryce replies. I look over at Jackson, who is shaking his head laughing, and I throw my hands up in defeat. “Looks like I win,” Jackson says arrogantly. “You win because I have to shower,” I reply. “Nah, Kai, you lost.” He laughs. “Jackson, we both know who was winning,” I say. Jackson laughs and flips me off as I head towards my room to shower. My younger brother, Bryce, is still in high school and has his homecoming game tonight. I usually wouldn’t peel myself away from the packhouse for something so trivial, but he’s my baby bro, so I have no choice, and I want to go to support him. I know the pack is in good hands with the best beta I know. I turn the shower on before taking my clothes off and throwing them on my bed. The water is cool as it hits my skin, which is fine; the cooler, the better. I know I’m weird, but I'm not too fond of hot showers. I quickly take a shower and wrap a towel around me. I walk over to my closet to grab clothes when there is a knock on my bedroom door. **Knock** ** Knock** “What?” I say. “It’s Mariah, can I come in?” She asks. “Riah, now isn’t a good time; I am getting dressed,” I reply. “Kai?” She says. “Come in,” I reply reluctantly. The door slowly opens, and my chosen mate, Mariah, walks in and closes the door behind her. “Hi, love.” She says as she walks up to me. “Hi,” I reply. She slowly makes her way over to me and lightly tugs at the towel wrapped around my waist. Her golden eyes light up as she closes the space between us. “Mariah, I don’t have time for this right now,” I say. “Why not?” She whines. “I am getting ready to head out,” I reply. “Where are you going?” She asks. “Bryce’s homecoming game is tonight,” I reply. “Can I come with you?” She asks sweetly. “Not this time,” I reply. “Why not?” She asks impatiently. “Ryker will be expecting you home when he arrives,” I reply. I look up at her, and she has a pout on her face. I gently trace my thumb along her jawline and softly smile. “Mariah, stop, please,” I whisper. “Ryker isn’t home, and I am lonely.” She pouts. “He will be back in a little bit,” I reply. Ryker is my twin brother, and we are the soon-to-be Alpha’s of our pack, Blood Amber. Once we turn twenty-one, we will take over the pack as Alpha’s as our Dad is older and wants to step down. Our mom looks forward to Dad stepping down because she can spend more time with him. She jokes all the time about how he is going to take her on an official honeymoon.
