I watch Mariah drive down the long driveway, and my heart breaks for her. I don't understand any of this, but I could see the pain in her eyes. I feel like this is my fault like I somehow caused all of this.
I hear Jackson say, "Your girls upset," to Kai and Ryker. They look at me, and Kai's feet move before Ryker's.
"Hey," he says softly. His eyes are red and puffy, and tears still stain his face.
