something in the wind

"what now" he said to himself still trying to catch his breath from his morning "exercise", after all physical altercations can be quite demanding. He had no sooner finished bestowing some intelligence on an intruder when Cerberus, his trusted companion let out a low growl indicating another visitor, for him visits were never a pleasant affair. trinity was starting to seriously regret running half c****d into the sunset with no real knowledge of the destination. she had bought the property with out even seeing a picture or meeting the seller who was now going to be here only neighbor. it was to late for regrets she was already lost in a rural wooded landscape that to her may as well be the uncharted tundra of Siberia and the tiga forest. she was so close to her destination, she had managed to find her way to a gate that she was told but unusually rude and abrasive locals belonged to her. ironically the road did not continue past the gate, it transformed to a footpath that was definitely the road less traveled. she was certain she had been walking circles when suddenly she was looking at a massive grey and black dog, it was standing motionless, she might have thought it a statue of not for the movement caused by it's breathing. "this one's on you hoss, I know I remember telling you to remind me she was coming today" she was so fixed on the dog she hadn't noticed the man standing behind it and off to it's left slightly, the surprisingly young man, surprisingly attractive and physically fit man. this couldn't be the person she purchased her new home from could it, her new neighbor that she suddenly couldn't seem to take her eyes off. "I believe I owe you an apology ma'am, I meant to meet you at the train station and maybe make myself presentable" heaven help me she thought, if had looked any more presentable she would have probably been flustered and gitty like a school girl, she couldn't show that now though, "as well you should have"she said a little more sharply then she intended, but she stood her ground " this place is impossible to find and every one I asked for directions acted as though I was an unwelcome inconvenience and" "your here aren't you, so it ain't impossible, the locals a handful but it couldn't have been that bad, your shoes aren't even dirty and your still pretty as a daisy" she wanted to protest but she was preoccupied with trying to hide the fact that she was blushing "come on I'll show you around and this "place" is home now, you'll love it or you won't, we'll know soon enough"
