The love that Stayed

Chapter 7

Elaine’s POV

They both came back to my apartment later that night and told me everything that happened but there was something they weren’t telling me and it was killing me cause i wanted to know what else happened but they didn’t tell me so i just went to sleep.

I finally woke up on time today so i went to take my morning shower and made my breakfast that only consisted of an apple and milk. Later i went to my favorite cafe and got my vanilla latte and then went to school. “Hey El!” yelled jax. Jax and i have been best friends since middle school and dated for two years after that. “Hey jax” i said. “ so i heard what that ass did to you.” he said. “Yea i guess it was time to officially cut it off with him right?” “do you want to come to the club with me tonight? Me and my friends and one of their cousins is gonna come too”. “Sure why not." I told him before heading of to my third class of the day.

Jace's POV

I was working on one of my sound tracks when my cousin AJ called. "Hey man, whats up?" I asked him. "Well i'm going to a club tonight with some friends, wanna come?" "Sure" i told him. I might as well do something fun i thought. 

After two hours of finishing my work, I decided to start getting ready to go to the club. After a while decided on a white shirt with a leather jacket, black jeans and my combat boots. 

As soon as I stepped into the club I saw my cousin with his friends and a girl there. I didn't know who it was so I just went and sat beside my cousin. "Hey bro! you made it" my cousin told me. "I told you I would be here didn't I?" I responded. After a while my cousin went to go dance and I finally got to see her well and noticed it was her, my childhood crush. She still had the same pink plump lips, piercing blue eyes and strawberry blonde hair. I did manage to notice that she got a nose ring and since she was wearing a crop top I also saw she had a belly ring. I knew that her father would have never allowed that, but now that i remember, I haven't seen her dad since I got back which was kind of strange but oh well.

Elaine's POV

It was awkward that he was just staring at me. I mean sure i did dress a little provocative but, I didn't think people would stare THAT hard at me. "So are you gonna talk to me or just gonna keep staring at me?" I asked him."oh sorry, I didn't mean to creep you out." he said and then out of the nowhere he asks me "do you wanna ditch this place and go eat?" I mean, I wouldn't mind having food but I was here with my best friend and I couldn't just ditch him like that, but I can always manage to bring him to the club again, I thought. "yea let's go" I told him. It took us twenty minutes to get to a diner since it was pretty far, but it was worth it for the food and i didn't really care since my brothers left my apartment two days ago, so i didn't need to be home soon.

Jace and I talked for almost two hours before it he came to the topic of his childhood. It took him a few minutes to process what he was going to say and what he said next just left me numb, as if i couldn't breathe anymore and it suddenly came down to to me that he WAS the Jace Anderson. My Jace. The one I hadn't seen for many years. He was back and I wasn't gonna let him leave anytime soon not after losing all of our childhood together.
