Prologue

As Elaine looked outside the window of her one bedroom apartment, she thought to herself, was it even worth moving out of her mom's house? For all she knew was that, she was scared, scared that maybe she wasn't going to do the right things without her mom. All she knew was that her mother was her best friend.

Jace hated the fact that he had to travel back to Chicago. All he thought about was that his mom was there and he didn't want to see that lady again after what she did to him and his father. But he had to, he couldn't disappoint his fans and Chicago was his last tour location.
