Chapter Four Henry It takes two years and a TV remote to know the dark side of a partner. Helen was a woman people didn’t notice much, except for Steven. He cared about his sister. “All’s she needs is liberation from that d**k of a husband,” he used to say, and when I met her husband, I understood why. Helen was still married to Henry when I first met her. We were sitting in their lounge room a week after our wedding, holding hands as Henry lit the fire.
