Zanes POV

I tried running after that black Mustang, but in human form, I am not as fast as wolf form. I turn around and walk back to Faye, who has her arms crossed, looking at me. I begin to tell her "Listen I know this looks bad, and I told you I had handled her, and I did or am." She walked up to me and said,"So you lied?" Guilt washes over me. It'd be so much easier if she knew the truth about everything. I only have 3 more days, and I haven't even gotten her to fall for me. I've only received major issues for us. Gina is trying to kill Faye, and Shawn, this asshole is telling Faye to leave me. Which another issue, Nick. I was just staring at her big, beautiful blue eyes. Her eyes pleaded for me. I brought my hand to caress her face. Her hair was tied back into her long singular braid down her back, and I tell her softly, "I'm sorry Faye, I lied I just can't be without you." Her pink soft lips curled into a smile and then went pouty as she told me,"Zane, if you lie to me, you'll be without me. I am huge on trust." Her posture that stiff and full of anger went soft and hesitate now that I am by her and touching her smooth, soft face. We were making eye contact, and I stared into her, taking all the details of her beauty to embark into my memory. I looked at her cheekbones and saw a small scar there. Adding character to her. My brave girl. I looked at her cute button nose and a small scar there, too, like she used to have a nose piercing. I looked at how her lips were curved, and I saw a small freckle on the top left side. I finally looked at her bright blue eyes and her pupils dialted and they were searching me. "Nothing compares to your beauty. You're so beautiful." She smiled and brought her hands to my sides and brought her head up to a tilt into a kiss form, and I brought my head down to kiss her pink soft lips. She didn't let me kiss her long, but when we were, it was like fireworks were exploring in my head. I could kiss her all day, and if she'd let me, I would. When we broke apart, it was like she was dizzy from experiencing the same feeling. I continue to take the rest of her beauty in. She wasn't too short or too tall. 5'5 and she had a good bra size C cup, is my guess. She had love handle hips and thick thighs. But her legs were muscle, and it seemed like she had her fair squats in, giving her ass a great sculpture. She was a goddess. She then asked, "Are you just intrigued by my looks?" Understanding what this meant felt like a jab. I'm not that shallow. "No, Faye, I love that you're a hard-working, smart, capable woman. I know you are an honest woman. I just wanna admire you all." She smirked and asked."How do you know im an honest woman?" I pull her in."I know you're a good person." Guilt washes over her face, and I'm curious to know. I want to make her feel secure. I pull a strand of her hair that I'd stray from her braid and ask her, "What's wrong, baby?" She gulped and said,"I haven't been too honest with you." I reply,"I know, and I'm not mad." Confusion runs over her face. "What do you mean?" She asks. I look into her eyes. "I can tell you have secrets. You pull away when you're scared, and I'll wait to know." I can hear her heart pound in her chest. She was getting anxious. I pull her into a hug and tell her, "It's okay, Faye, I am not her to hurt you." A throat clears, and it's Shawn standing there. Faye breaks away a scared and worried expression breaks across her face. I can hear her heart pick up again. "Faye, I thought we came into an agreement that you are not to see Zane anymore." Shawn's voice was thick in anger towards Faye. And my wolf was ready to come out to protect Faye. Why is it whenever we share a beautiful love moment we get uninterrupted? She spoke up, "I don't agree to the arrangement. I will continue to see Zane." My beautiful brave lady trying to stand up for us. Risking everything she has to see me. This made me feel like everything I've been going through wasn't for nothing, and all my actions have been a purpose. Faye is falling for me. Thank the 7 gods were on my side. I grab her soft, smooth hand and intertwine my fingers into hers to show my support. I could still hear her pulse high she was very uncomfortable, and so I decided to chip in too. "Shawn, in all respects -" He interrupted me, "Zane. This does not involve you. This is between Faye and I." She takes a step forward her posture tight she was angry."No, Shawn. This does involve Zane he's my boyfriend."

Boyfriend? did I hear this right. Many butterflies run through my stomach, and I couldn't help a grin running through my face. Faye, I love you. I give her hand a squeeze instead of saying it. I don't think now is the time to tell her, though I wish I could. Shawn walks to her, his shoulder wide and his face, giving dark shadows, making his look intimidating. He grabs her and tries to yank her away. I pull her back, and Shawn and I both have 1 arm of Faye, and we're both staring daggers into each other eyes. Faye yelling "SHAWN LET ME GO!" Her arm trying to yank free from his grip that was tight enough to leave Faye a bruise. I growl, and my eyes turn to a light green. For a second, I swear I saw Shawn's eyes flicker gold. Is he a shifter? "Let go of Faye." Shawn's voice was heavy, full of threat towards me. I shake my head no to him and reply back in a voice heavy threat. "You need to her go because you're hurting her." She let out whimpers "Shawn why are you doing this?" He looked down to her. His looks still full of danger "For your own safety." She gulped. The next thing we knew, people started to come out of the restaurant to see the commotion we had in the parking lot of Ravenswood Inn. People were murmuring. Sabrina and Nick came running out, and Nick stood by Shawn, and Sabrina gasped. "What's going on?!" she shrieked wide eyes, looking at Faye. "Faye, I will not say this again, leave Zane." Tears streamed down her face. My heart ached, and all I wanted to do was make this better for her. She whimpered, "But Zane makes me feel happy." This made me feel so proud and so sad that she had to go through this to keep her happiness. Something is up. Shawn must know im a werewolf. I try and pull her towards me, but Shawn pulls her more aggressive towards him, and she yelps out 'ow!' Nick intervenes."Faye, come back to the restaurant. You've only known this man less than a week. He can't make you happy." I snarl."You guys treat Faye like she's incapable of knowing her own feelings." Shawn, let's go and says "Faye, I didn't want this to come down to this, but if you don't come with me, I'll have to fire you." Gasps are heard from the witnesses. Sabrina let's out a sob. And Faye goes completely still. I wouldn't blame her. This guy was pushing this too far. I bring Faye into me, and she feels so fragile. I tell her, "Then come stay with me. I'll house you for free too." Tears stream down, and she remains stilled. Nick tries to grab her from my arms, and I growl deep. Faye winces, and I rub her back. She then tells Shawm "Fine I'll stay with Zane." Her voice shaky and small. Nick lunges, and I twirl Faye from combat. Nick pounds my back. Faye squeaks and and then Yells "What the f**k is wrong with you guys?!" I turn and grab Nick's neck and he gut punches me which actually hurts. And I let go of my hold. I use my other arm and punch his left side face. Where Shawn Yells "THAT IS ENOUGH." He looks straight to Faye. I see her knees weaken, and I run to her side. "Faye, if you live with Zane, I'll have to resort to my last option. I'll contact Stone Reed and inform him of your location." Faye gasped and covered her mouth her whole body was shaking. Whoever this man 6 has definitely hurt her. I rub her back again, trying to soothe her. Sabrina yelled to Shawn. He needed to he ashamed of himself. He didn't even look her way he just continued to stare at Faye.

I told her I'll keep her safe in a low nurturing tone. She grabbed my hand and then took both of us running in a direction away from Shawn, Nick, and Sabrina with the restaurant customers, all staring at us.
