Today is a new day. That means it's time for school. I didn't mind going to school but I didn't like waking up. I hate waking up early.
I got out of bed and did my usual routine. After I did everything I should've, I looked at myself in the mirror. I looked at my hair, it was nothing special. It was normal, shoulder lengthened and it was a light brown. I wasn't that ugly , but I wasn't what any boy would want.
Sam's car was already parked in our driveway. When I left the house, I was ready for the day ahead. I've only known Sam for 2 years now. And every Thursday I'm alone at home because my mom always stays at work to do her planning for a meeting, for that next day. So Sam and I started this tradition when I was walking home one day and some jerk rode in a puddle and ruined my dress. Well that jerk was Sam.
I told him that he shouldn't have bought his license online, because l thought he drove like a pig. He felt bad and gave me a ride home. My mom got so excited that there was someone from my school at our house that she even told him if he felt uncomfortable around her he could go up to my room he actually decided to listen to what she said. We shared an interest in Shakespeare and in Harry Potter. Since then we became best friends. Although he doesn't want me telling anyone his a real nerd. Before I knew it we were at school already.
When we walked into the school , I noticed all the looks people gave me. Some with jealousy, some with envy, some with anger and even some with hate. I knew the one that gave me the worst look was Sam's janitors closet usual. She was walking up to us.
"Sam, your coming to my party tonight right?" She smiled sickeningly sweet. Gosh were you hit with a makeup truck? Where's Ken?
"Yeah, what time is it again?" I like my shoes. Their so pretty and I just love them and wait what now? I looked at Sam with a hurt face. Thursday nights was our nights.
As if Sam felt my stare, his head turned towards me. Misses Usual turned towards me as well, like it's the first time she took notice of me.
"Oh hi Caylie." Oh she was so fake she knows my name.
"Hey Usual." She looked at me with a confused face. Yeah you know your a cow!
"Anyway, it's at 7. See you there Sam." She winked at him. Ew gags! "Thanks Kathrin. See you tonight." Ulg I hate that he gave her such a sweet smile. Oh that's her name.
The further we walked the angrier I got. I was fuming with anger. "Hazel are you going to tell me why you are giving me dirty looks?" Is he seriously that stupid. "Thursday nights are our nights, Samual?" I always used his full name when I was mad. "Really Hazel? I always spend time with you. It's just some silly tradition. Come on. I never go to parties." That hurt, that hurt a lot. Not just did he lie about him never going to parties but he called our tradition silly.
"You know what Samual? Enjoy your stupid party! I don't care! And it's just some silly tradition, so don't worry there won't be another silly traditional day." I was so mad that I could just throw him with a cactus!
