I felt butterflies fluttering in my stomach, like a firecracker exploding with vibrant energy. A smile that stretched from ear to ear appeared on my face. Intense excitement was bubbling up inside of me when Tristan granted my request. I couldn’t contain the joy that I felt as I sprang my full weight on him.
I can’t wait for Lily to come back and inform her. “Here she comes, talk of the devil,” my gaze fixed on the entrance of the dining room as my heart raced like a cheetah and my face burst with excitement. Poof! It disappeared in the blink of an eye. All of the excitement on my face was gone like a deflated balloon when I noticed Lily wasn’t looking very good, like she had left earlier.
