Chapter 7: Underground

'Dannaya's POV' After hearing all the truth they had kept from me for sixteen years, I felt as if someone had poured a bucket of cold water over me. I didn't have the strength to get angry at them or even blame them, so I simply went upstairs. I wanted to cry, but I held it back. My chest felt tight, but there was nothing I could do. I stayed in my room, having no desire to go to school. After a while, I decided to get dressed instead. I put on black fitted jeans, black boots with three-inch heels, and a fitted black blouse. After getting dressed, I braided my hair. I was about to open the door when someone knocked. knock knock* knock* I opened it and saw that it was Czack who had knocked, so I raised an eyebrow at him. "What?" I asked him. "Where are you going?" he asked in return. "It's none of your business, so back off," I said coldly. "Baby, are you angry with me?" he asked in an equally cold tone. I was already used to it. "No. And why should I be?" I answered. "I don't believe you!" he said. "That's not my problem anymore," I replied before walking past him. I heard him call my name, but I didn't bother turning around. I continued walking toward the garage, took my big bike, and rode away. A while later, I finally reached my destination. I was at the Underground, the place where I could release all the anger and frustration inside me. Before entering, I put on my black mask with pink linings and glitter. The moment I stepped inside, deafening cheers greeted me, especially when they saw me. "Hooo! The Death Queen is here!" "The Death Queen has returned!" "Death Queeeennn!" Those were just some of the things I could hear, so I took my seat on my throne. Then the emcee began to speak. "Good day, everyone! I know today is going to be a great day because our Death Queen is back! So, does anyone want to challenge the Death Queen?" The crowd erupted into cheers until someone spoke, immediately silencing everyone. "Me. Let's see if your queen is really as brave and powerful as you claim," Trisha boldly said. Tsk. Trisha—the Queen Bee of the school. She really was arrogant as ever. "Ooo-kay! Someone has challenged our Death Queen! And it is none other than Poisonous Dark!" the emcee announced. I stood up from my throne and walked toward the ring. "Before we start, make sure the fight is fair and, above all, there will be no cheating. The battle begins in 3… 2… 1!" The signal sounded. 'Third Person's POV' "Before we start, make sure the fight is fair and, above all, there will be no cheating. The battle begins in 3… 2… 1!" The signal sounded, announcing the beginning of the fight. Poisonous Dark attacked first, throwing punches and kicks from every direction. But Death Queen dodged every single attack. When Death Queen finally found an opening, she kicked Poisonous Dark hard in the side and followed it with a powerful punch to the stomach, causing her opponent to cough up blood. All the anger Death Queen had been carrying earlier was being unleashed on her opponent. She kicked her again, sending Poisonous Dark flying toward the other end of the ring. Deafening cheers erupted throughout the Underground. She's strong… but I'm not going to lose, Poisonous Dark thought. She slowly got back on her feet and smirked at Death Queen. "Is that all you've got?" Death Queen smirked at her arrogance. Poisonous Dark immediately charged at her again. This time, Death Queen failed to dodge, and the attack struck her in the face. She cursed under her breath. When Poisonous Dark charged again, Death Queen caught her fist, threw her to the ground, and delivered powerful punches to her stomach and face. Poisonous Dark eventually lost consciousness and collapsed onto the cold floor like a limp rag doll. "As usual, the winner is… Death Queen!" the emcee shouted. The crowd erupted into deafening cheers once again. Death Queen turned toward the crowd, wearing her usual cold expression and fierce gaze. Then she stepped down from the ring and left the Underground. 'Dannaya's POV' I sighed in relief. Finally, I had let out some of my anger. After my fight, I left the Underground and headed straight to the place where I could finally let my true self out. I got back on my big bike and started the engine. A few minutes later, I arrived at a semi-rooftop garden filled with beautiful flowers. I lay down among the leaves, letting them serve as my bed. The cool breeze brushed against my skin, and the scent of flowers surrounded me. For the first time that day, I felt a little peaceful. A few moments later, sleep finally took over.
