Chapter 13: Royalties

Dannaya’s POV “Ahem... Someone looks a little jealous,” I heard Lessanna tease from behind me. I ignored her. “Ah, Yanna, can I ask you something?” Allein asked. Tsk. He already asked. Still, I simply nodded. “How did you meet Czack?” he asked. “Czack pretended to be my stepbrother. Lessanna and the others became my friends at school.” That was... surprisingly long for me. “Ah, so—” “That's not fair, Naya! When you're talking to Czaqary, you actually say complete sentences. But when you're talking to us, you barely say anything!” Thia complained, cutting Allein off. “Tsk.” Czack clicked his tongue before turning around and walking away. Lessanna immediately grinned. “I knew it! Someone definitely got jealous!” “Hey, keep it down before you get yourself burned,” Rey warned her. Lessanna immediately shut her mouth. That was funny. A few moments later, we reached the entrance of the cafeteria. The moment we stepped inside, the usual buzzing started. “Kyahhh! Prince Czaqary, look over here!” “Prince Rey, kiss me!” “Prince Ellie, love me!” “Prince Icen, why are you so hot? Hug me, please!” I stared at them for a moment. Seriously? Then came the whispers. “Eww! Who's that annoying girl?” “Yeah! Why does she keep hanging around our royals?” I rolled my eyes. Tsk. Why should I care? They obviously have nothing better to do. “Come on, Naya. Don't mind them,” Czacky said. I nodded and followed her. “Where's Kuya Czack?” Czacky suddenly asked. “I'm here.” We all turned toward the voice. Tsk. Flame. He had just arrived and was walking toward us. “Alright, what do you girls want to order?” Ellie asked. “Same as usual,” the girls answered. Czack looked at me. “What about you, Nnell? What do you want?” “Same.” He knew exactly what I meant. The boys headed toward the counter to place our orders while we found a table and waited. For a while, we sat in silence. Eventually, Iceana broke the quiet. “You know, Naya, Czaqary rarely talks to people.” I looked at her. “Really?” “Yeah,” Airiella added. “So why is he suddenly so talkative whenever he's with you?” I shrugged. “Don't know.” They exchanged glances before shaking their heads. I didn't understand why they were making such a big deal about it. A few minutes later, the boys returned with our food. “Let's eat!” Ellie announced. We started eating. For once, everyone was quiet. Tsk. Finally. Fast Forward After we finished eating, Airiella turned to me. “Naya, do you want us to give you a tour of the academy?” “Maybe tomorrow. I'm tired.” “Okay. Besides, our classes don't start until the next day anyway,” she said. Lessanna stood up. “Come on. We'll walk you back to your dorm.” “K.” We started walking back toward the dorms, with the boys following behind us. After a while, we finally reached the entrance. “So, we'll leave you here,” Thia said. “We'll pick you up tomorrow, okay?” Czacky added. “K.” I was about to enter the dorm when I heard someone call my name. “Yanna?” I turned around. Allein. “What?” He smiled. “Bye.” I stared at him for a second. Then he walked back toward the others. “My gosh! Did Czaqary just smile?” Rey exclaimed. “Is this the end of the world?” Ellie added dramatically. “Gosh, he's so handsome,” Iceana said dreamily. Tsk. Idiots. “I'm going inside now. Bye.” “Bye!” the girls said together. Before I could say anything else, they suddenly disappeared. Teleportation. I was about to enter the dorm when someone suddenly grabbed my arm. I turned around. Czack. “What do you need, Kuya?” I asked. “From now on, Nnell, don't call me ‘Kuya’ anymore.” I frowned. “Why?” “Because I don't want you to.” “Okay, Kuya.” I deliberately emphasized the word. He narrowed his eyes. “If you call me Kuya again, you'll have a punishment.” I raised an eyebrow. “And what kind of punishment would that be?” He smirked. “I'll kiss you.” My eyes widened. What?! Before I could even respond, he suddenly let go of my arm and walked away. I stood there for a moment, completely stunned. Tsk. Seriously? I quickly entered the dorm. At this rate, I might not survive this place. The living room was empty, so I headed straight to my room. The moment I opened the door, exhaustion hit me all at once. I didn't even bother changing. I simply walked over to my bed, collapsed onto it, and closed my eyes. It had been a long day. And somehow, I had a feeling that tomorrow was going to be even more complicated.
