The Alpha And His Beta Want Me

Chapter 4

Alpha Theon’s POV

She stabbed me in the back. I gave myself to the mate bond and trusted her with everything only to find out she was just using me to get what she wanted and take my pack down.

The day she rejected me was the day I swore off mates, and if I ever have a second chance, mate, I will not give in to it.

I still haven’t found my first mate or the pack she was working with. She is still out there planning an attack, I am sure.

I got out of the shower deciding not to shave and go for the 5 o’clock shadow look today. I quickly brushed my teeth and went to my walk-in closet and chose to wear a pair of black slacks and a white button-up shirt. I rolled my sleeves up to my elbows and made sure the top two buttons on my shirt were open.

‘Hey Rex, do I pass for the party?’ I linked my wolf.

Rex is my wolf. He can be annoying most of the time, but he is always there for me.

‘Duh, we always look good. We are a sexy guy and wolf. Why would you even ask that?’

‘I know we are, but I still want to double check with you You ready to get this s**t show on the road. I swear this Alpha is an i***t. How he has kept his pack up and running is beyond me. I know there is something weird going on there.’

‘Theon, I have a weird feeling about tonight. Something is going on in that pack and I think we are going to make some type of discovery of parts of it, but I don’t know what it is. It has me on edge.’

‘I know I can feel you, remember; we are one. Just relax, we are going to eat, have a few drinks, maybe dance with a few she-wolves, and then go home. Nothing is going to happen tonight.’

I finally made it downstairs with a sour-looking Nathan waiting for me.

“Dude, it took you long enough. We were supposed to leave ten minutes ago. I hate being late and now, because you’re late, you get to drive. I am not getting a speeding ticket.”

“I will drive. What car do we want to take? I am thinking about my black mustang. It will get us there the fastest.”

“Fine by me”.

The hour drive took us about 45 minutes thanks to the speed of my car. Man, I loved this thing. It was a gift from my parents when I became Alpha two years ago.

Nathan was his usual annoying self, singing to every song on the radio. He always turned-on country music and I have yet to figure that out. It drives me crazy, but if it stops him from engaging in conversation with me, then I will endure it. The closer we got to the Crescent pack the more anxious Rex became. He was pacing in my head, giving me a slight headache.

“Dude Rex, will you relax, you’re making my head hurt.”

“I can’t, something is wrong. I don’t know what it is, but something is not right and the closer we get the worse the feeling gets.”

This mutt is going to make tonight long if he doesn’t settle down. We finally pulled into the driveway and parked the car. We got out and were greeted by Alpha Viktor and Luna Elsa of Crescent pack.

“Alpha Theon, a pleasure to see you as always. I was hoping that you were coming tonight. I know that you have yet to find your mate and we have several nearly 18-year-old she-wolves that would love the chance to meet you. You know if you found your mate in my pack, we could make a great alliance.”

“Alpha Viktor, I will make it very clear right now, I do not want a mate. I am only here for formalities and will be making it an early night. Now if you could point me in the direction of the party.”

Alpha Viktor pushed his nose up at me and pointed in the direction of the back of the house. Nathan and I were making our way back there when the smell of rose and chamomile hit me.

The party was well underway when Liam and Jack were introduced as the future Alpha and Beta. Jack’s sister was also introduced, but there was nothing special about her besides being Beta's daughter.

She came over and asked me for a dance. Her long blonde hair was styled beautifully. Her blue eyes didn't leave mine, and the two mounds of flesh on her chest were perky and overflowing in her tight silver dress.

I would love to take her upstairs and show her who the boss was, but Rex was growling at her in my head.

I danced with her and wished her a happy birthday. She pushed herself up on me and was rubbing her t**s against my chest. I was getting angry with her; she wasn’t getting the hint. I was about to tell her off when someone quickly rushed past us.

The smell coming off this she-wolf had my mouth watering and Rex howling.

Before I could wrap my brain around anything, Rex yelled, ‘MATE!’

No.

It can’t be.

I watched her keep going. She didn’t look okay, but I was going to ignore her and not give in to the mate bond.

“Why are you staring at the pack slave? She’s a w***e and is garbage,” the beta’s daughter said when she saw me watching her.

“What did you say?” I asked.

She just looked at me dumbly and answered, “The girl you were looking at is the pack slave. She is our servant, and we take fun in beating her when we feel like it. She killed her parents, and my dad took pity on her and didn’t kill her, but made her the pack slave.”

“How did she kill her parents?” I asked curiously. She didn’t look very old and I can’t imagine that someone that small could kill two grown wolves.

“I don’t know, it happened ten years ago. We were kids then. Besides, I don’t pay attention to things like that. But I do know every beating she gets she deserves. She can’t do anything right, like yesterday she spilled the Alpha’s coffee on the table. I know she got a beating from Liam for that. The Alpha is letting him start to do it so he can make sure he doesn’t kill her, but I know he will soon.

My brother, Jack, has a thing for her, but I don’t know why he does. She is ugly and tries to sleep with every ranked member that comes her way, so she can one day be above a slave, but there is nothing better for her. I wish they would just get rid of her already. It’s annoying to see her everyday. She is so worthless!”

I was seeing red at this point. Mate or not, nobody should be treated like that, and also, how does a child just kill their parents?
