The guard shook his head. "The healer won't say. The moonstone on her table detected a pregnancy—an unregistered one. She hid the records. When the elders pressed her, she told them she would rather die than name the woman. The Alpha, the Luna, and the Council are on the platform. They're going to put her to death in the square."
