Isabella • Clark • Judy’s POV The house that once felt lively now felt heavy. Dark. Cold. Isabella sat on the bed, her hair scattered, her eyes red and swollen. Since she returned from the hospital, she had not stopped shouting. Her voice echoed through the large house like the cry of a wounded animal. “Useless people!” she screamed. “All of you are useless!” A glass flew from her hand and shattered on the floor. One of the maids flinched and burst into tears. “Get out!” Isabella screamed again. “Get out of my sight!” The maids rushed out of the room in fear. Isabella’s chest rose and fell heavily.
