EVERETT'S POV I was halfway through a board presentation when the door suddenly slammed open, with enough noise to draw everyone's attention away from the large screen. Every head at the table had turned at once, irritation flickering across faces that were paid far too much to be surprised by anything anymore. Leonard wheeled himself into the boardroom like he owned it, his usual smug mask firmly in place. My grip tightened on the remote in my hand.
