ANYTA’S POV A smile tugged at my lips as I raised my eyes from the drawing book. Teddy’s tongue was sticking out from the side of his mouth in concentration as he dragged a blue crayon across the paper with the seriousness of a tiny artist commissioned for a royal portrait. I chuckled at the imagery and he flashed me a proud smile. “It's pweety, mama.” “Hmm, of course it is, you made it.” I leaned over the dining table and squinted at his masterpiece. “Well baby there's only one issue,” I said softly, “why is your grass blue? That's not right.” My son gasped, looking a bit offended. His curls bounced as he snapped his head up to look at me. “Iss sea gwass,” he corrected, clutching the crayon tighter like he was afraid I'd take it from him. “Sea grass?” I echoed. “In our backyard?”
