Dear Mother, I hope this letter finds you well. It has been quite some time since I last wrote to you, and for that, I apologize. The days here in the war-torn lands of Europe are long and arduous, filled with fear and uncertainty. I cannot begin to describe the horrors that I have witnessed on the battlefield.
