Morgan was surprised to see Thea’s name pop up on her work phone. Her mother never called her at work.
“What’s up?” Morgan asked, answering the phone.
“I just had the thought that we should give the woman that had the books the reward,” Thea explained, “and I wanted to run that past you before I sent her the money. I also think we should give the man with the chalice some money too—not as much—but it helped that he had the same story about where he bought it.”
“How much are you going to send them?” Morgan asked.
“I thought I’d send the woman a hundred dollars and the man fifty,” Thea explained. “I have their contact information, so you don’t need to send it to me. I just wanted to see what you think.”
“I’m ok with it.” Morgan laughed. “It’s not my money, but if it was, I’d agree with
